Judging by the squadron composition on the return. He hit it with a TB and DB. Set a fire and flooding, while the babby immediately used DC. King came around then and hit him again with about 2-3 fires. Sending what remaining HP he had left to burn for a full duration.

That's exactly what I'd debate. Gneisenau is better in every way except her main battery, which turns out to be the most important statistic. Nine 11 inch guns are so much better than six 15s it's not even funny.

how close are the 11 inch guns to the guns of the könig? as far as i know they are less accurate with about the same pen. as much as i love the könig, i fail to see how thats gonna help at that tier

It's a combo of the 20 second reload allowing you to mix AP and HE as well as allowing you to DPS down cruisers fast as well as the 15s simply being shit.

Bayern is frustrating enough with the shells flying all over, but losing 2 guns and moving up a tier is super shitty. You will routinely splice any and all sorts of targets at all ranges with just 6 guns. If Gneis had her historical battery she would undoubtedly be the best, but since she's forced to use shitty 15s she loses to Scharn.

Also you get cruiser fast turret traverse so you can shift your fire very easily. Scharn is simply more fun to play.

i guess it comes down to personal taste. heck, i even loved the shit out of the vk-a in wot and ran a 68% winrate in that.

I win more in Gneis but do far more damage and finish more ships in Scharn. Definitely a big issue in Gneis was some jackass cruiser juking all over with about with 2k hp left. Scharn's shotgun spread of shells will finish him, Gneis's 6 shells on a longer reload is not guaranteed.

Gneis is probably best if you have a div mate in a cruiser helping finish things for you.

It is not arbitrary. With a Skill of 200, you are saying that a player is twice as good in a ship compared to the server average, as opposed to a straight-up difference where the number doesn't translate to anything.

It is not doubly counted. I have no idea where you even got that idea from. I have no clue how division instead of subtraction means to you that the goodness of a ship is doubly counted. If I only compared straight-up overall win rate to the overall server win rate in a ratio, you're saying that the "goodness" of a ship is only singly represented? How the fuck does that work?
