Pressing out ball joints and bushings right now. Will wire wheel and paint the control arms tonight.

Uppers were especially bad. Original suspension components, abused hard, 300,000 miles. Car felt like a halfway bolted together shopping cart before I took it off the road.

The ball moves about 3mm in and out of the hole. About 1.5mm space all around. Scary.

I don't know, it's built pretty tough. Steering was sketchy, especially around corners because of all the play. Tie rod ends are worse, it'll be tomorrow or later before I get the kit to take those out though.

The rod coming out of the ball joint is bent, that probably happened in the wreck though, the spindle it was connected to snapped. It's supposed to be pointing straight up and down right now.

How much you putting into it?

Ran into a slight problem trying to press out the upper bushings, the arm wants to hit the bottle jack. Waiting on a friend to bring a bigger (larger diameter) impact set so I can press the arm down around the bushing instead of pressing the bushing through the arm.

I went ahead and bought a hf 20t press because to have the pressed in and out around here I was quoted $160 and up. Well shit, a press is only 170.

Gonna start letting friends use it for $5 a bushing I think.

Rear is 3.42 limited slip (never failed to lock when I need it)
Trans has been built by local speed shop, may need refreshed.
Engine: lq9 6.0, ls3 heads/intake/rails/injectors, comet thin gasket for a compression of around 10.6:1, mail order tune and re-tune by frost, couple aluminum pulleys (original plastic ps pulley broke and left me stranded in 2007), rocker upgrade.
Racetronix walbro 255 (needs wiring kit installed)
Pacesetter 1.75 primary headers, 3 inch merge, 3 inch pipe through an x, bullets, and dumped before the rear
New bolts throughout.
Probably a few other things I'm forgetting, had the car since 03.

No egr, air, cats, air con

To do in the next couple weeks:
Moog bushings and ball joints
Shocks (have not decided which)
New wheel hubs and speed sensors
Smallish cam (218-220 intake duration) and springs
Headlight for drivers side
Either a 32mm ws6 or a 35mm strano swaybar, I went to get a 32mm the other day when I picked up the fender, but they gave me a 30mm.

I'll wait a couple months and do the rear suspension (it's in equally bad shape, I'm sure)
