Overly Complicated Auto Shifter

Is anyone else annoyed by this? So many cars like the BRZ/FRS, Prius, and even the fucking Kia Sorento have shifters to make yourself feel like you're driving a manual

>this is complicated for an ameritard

Wtf is B

Fuck off luddite. That looks awesome.

Preordered

Brake

>Put it in H!

Benis

who cares

It's not even pretending to be a manual shifter, it's basically an analogue stick. It snaps back into that centre position as soon as you let go

Engine braking mode apparently

Backwards

I used to think this shifter was exactly that
But as I drove it off-road iand in the snow it became clear what it was designed for
When on technical terrain you feel like its a stick shift but with an automatic clutch
I always know what gear I'm in unlike the one you've shown and "normal" manual mode shifter
They leave you guessing or looking down to see what the dash says your in
But with the pattern in the GX I already know by my hand position
It looks stupid but it very intuitive
Asians are smart

>driving an automatic BRZ/FRS

Your parents have failed user.

It's actually very practical and intuitive:
D is drive
N is neutral
R is reverse
B is brake
It's not complicated. It is nothing like a manual.
It is just as simple as possible to allow you to drive as efficiently as possible. It's even a CVT.

>B is brake
Why does it have a separate P then

You have to shift to brake?? Wow

>auto shifter is complicated
No wonder Americans can't drive manual

It's engine braking for hills and shit

When you set it to B it calls you a faggot and puts lolis and Spiderman on the sat nav

>eurocuck shows up to cry about Americans instead of contributing to the discussion
Every single time

boost mode

BRINDLE :DDDDD

>overly complicated
>posts shifter with huge diagram with only 4 choices

though stuff that is friendo

absolute Bad man mode

> have straight gate normal auto
> leave it in D
> torque converter allows plenty of slip before lock up stock
> can flip a switch to change shift points and raises redline
> full lock up on Highway and partial lock up in every other gear

jesus plz be bait

Whichever user said Engine Braking mode was correct. It's similar to putting a manual transmission vehicle in lower gear for when traveling down a steep grade.

P is to put it into park

The "engine braking" is emulated by engaging the regenerative brakes. Some people think that it'll help recharge the battery if they engage it before braking, but a quick google search says otherwise

Also, P is separate from the parking brake
