No, but the bite has good synergy with unarmed due to the fast attack speed that's also available in the early game.

There's something kinda funny about an iron imp being the last thing you see of what happened to be a very intense orb run.

I want to explore a gloomy cave and fuck up some monsters but simple graphics and ambient sounds would be really nice and I don't want nightmare tier time/resource management... Is there a baby's first roguelike kind of like this? Should I try a different general?

Most roguelikes don't really have sounds

Maybe try Dungeon Crawl, it's pretty simple and fun.

I would recommend Infra Arcana as its one of the few RLs which uses sound, but it's like 70% resource management and pretty hard.

DCSS probably has the prettiest tileset there is, but no sounds.
ToME has sounds, but is not as pretty as DCSS.
Same for ADoM.

Most roguelikes don't have sound. There's DoomRL, I guess, though it's Doom, not beating up rats in a cave.

I was literally at 7 hp 3 tiles away from 2 golden dragons and an ordinary lich and I only got decreased to 5 hp when I walked up the stairs (there's ton of enemies killer clown, moth of wrath, draconian annihilator etc.upstairs also). Even the local Muhammad would convert to Christianity if this happened to him.

and it should be (27/2 + 2*27)

so actually it's

aka [(x/10)(27/2+27)(1.5)(1.9)] = 750

you hit max spellpower at 39 int with wild magic 3 and 1 enhancer

before the wild magic nerf it would have been 29 int

How so? Quick blades has pretty piss poor damage and I don't think the bite can pull it's weight alone even if the blade has something like elec on it. Fists are better due to how you effectively have anti magic branded hands, a trait that is so good late game which is where unarmed really shines.

There was. A general will often roll around for a while when a very popular roguelite is released, but they inevitably die out due to the nature of the games and the players they attract.

The bonus is passive, it still grant Archmagi in Death's Door status.

But unfortunately there's just no deducated enthusiast community for them like there are Roguelikes since they vary wildly.

pick a lairbranch based on your character's strengths, usually you want to do the waterbranch first, clear to branch:3
do branch:4 if your character can handle it, else do poisonbranch:1-3
get a rune
clear vaults 1-4
clear depths
clear vaults:5, or get abyssal/slime/tomb if playing a character that would have an easier time doing those than v:$

Brogue does have tiles. No sound though.
They are also Oryx's tiles, so quite decent, if minimalistic.
The food clock is also really lenient once you've played a few times.

If you have silence+haste castable, good melee/ranged, and darkness/nightstalker(optional but nice to have), Tomb is actually hilariously easy.

For some specific character situations it can be the easiest 3rd rune. Most of the time, it isn't.

You still probably wouldn't want to 3rd rune tomb, just like you wouldn't want to do the water branch first necessarily (shoals is unanimously known as harder than all other lair branches).

Shoals is easier than nuspider by a lot. Fastmove entropy weavers that spam are possibly the most dangerous lairbranch monster in nucrawl.

Shoals can also be easier than nusnake. This depends on your character.

Get spells online (it shouldn't take too long) then put 5 or so in invo by Vaults. More if you're really hurting for MP for some reason.

if you're megatank CPA with -stealth, and no EV, then yeah, shoals is hard.

for spriggans, i think shoals is the easiest branch
