I hope to God that we get new vocal tracks in Sonic 2017. If there's one thing I can count on being good in a Sonic game, it's the music.

I don't dislike getting more orchestral music like we have, but Sonic games really benefit from a good vocal theme. Because then you can do a hype orchestral version of it for the final boss.

So, what's the last Sonic game you played and what do you think of it?
chronicles, I actually thought it was decent. if a little flat.
SA2, doing multiplayer with my sisters. One of my favorite 3D Sonics.
Sonic Adventure. It alright.
I replayed Taxman's Sonic CD remake last. I found it a lot of fun and I was stuck to listening to the OST for a good week.
S3&K. It was amazing. I'm gonna replay it as soon as I have time.
Sonic Battle. Game was frustratingly hard (Sonic and Shadow; Ultimate Emerl), but fun during the story mode. Later on starting to get boring after the story mode.
Lost World. It's almost good. If you tweaked the controls a bit, sped up the gameplay a tad and either fleshed out the story or just had the villains shut the hell up it'd be an 8/10

Sonic CD. Was pretty fun, the last 2 special stages were hard as fuck though

It's weird, but one of the things I'm most excited for about Mania are the future speedruns of it.

Lost World 3DS. Not very inviting, hard game to actually sit down and play, but it hasn't given me an STD yet so it's not as bad as I was led to believe.
Posted the MM good future because of how utterly forgettable the US version is in comparison.
Despite being forgettable, I'd argue the US version fit the mood better than the Japanese version, since you were going into the final boss fight.

That makes me wish Sally was part of the game canon. She makes for a good female lead and direct foil to Sonic, while Amy's better off as her own thing, a bubbly teenage girl with a crush. Boom tweaks Amy's character to be more of a "team mom" but imo she's way less interesting as a result.
It's weird to me that the rings follow the movement of the platform.
Never seen that done in a Genesis game and I don't like things that are different.

Playing Adventure right now. I love how Sonic controls and running in the Adventure Feilds are fun.

Don't want to sound like one of those guys, but how? Ever since 06, the devs had no idea what to do with the already existing characters and they just put them in the sidelines and act like cheerleaders. At least the comics got them doing something other than that. How do you expect to be like if they have chance of getting to become playable or having a role?
