You crazy motherfucker you actually did it.

Anyone for a lobby?

What rank do I need to go to tourneys?

>SFV

If you have an offline scene, do it. Rank doesn't matter, and you'll level up faster by playing with real people.

>Try out Juri
>Her normals are kinda awkward
>Her specials are even worse
>Damage is on the low end
>Can't combo with her for shit
>Just generally feels bad to play as
>But the way she moves her hips, man, it drives me wild!
>Probably gonna go back to doing braindead shit with Nash
Damnit.

Maybe after cpt they'll fix it user.

In the meantime, putting in work now won't go to waste.

Anyone going back to ultra? (for fun)
Not taking the game seriously anymore, just playing the game for fun. Actually played a shit ton of ultra recently on PC
I get ranked matches in like 10-30 seconds depending on the time of the day. The online scene is actually reviving eh?
I play Sfv too but I still need my weekly dose of tiger shot fix

I could never get into ultra.

I do frequently play 3s on fightcade though.

She's shit but I hate playing her because I keep forgetting what move has what frame data.

>pick up 3S OE on recommendation from friends
>movement speed is great
>characters have good tools and normals with actual reach
>everything is fluid and responsive
>tons of tech to learn and discover
>characters can be played in more than one flowchart way
>diverse range of playstyles rather than different flavors of mash your mediums until you get a counter hit
>functional online play

Holy shit I wish I tried this game years ago.

It's a really good game.

It's a shame every online match is Chun, Ken, Yun and the occasional Yang or Akuma.

Except for that one dude who has been playing 15 year, picks Q and bodies everyone.

That's old game balancing though.

Fightcade has a million makotos.

the only makoto I ever played on (EU) fightcade was a new guy who seemed to have never played fighting games before.

I bought SFV back on launch and said it would be the fighting game that I finally got good at. After a month I gave up for whatever reason, but I now have renewed interest.

As a fighting game noob, do I go back to practising Ryu like before, or start with another character that's more beginner friendly.

Ryu is the most beginner friendly character but if you aren't enjoying him pick someone else.

Nash, Ken, Necalli and Cammy are also quite beginner friendly.

Pick who you want to play, the rest is secondary.

Ryu is suggested because he has a very diverse toolkit, which. Many other characters don't have.

Ryu is also S tier in 5, so if you like him keep playing him.

You're given the opportunity to make one SFV character viable, and nerf one character into mid-tier. You only get three changes max for each character. What do you change?

I'd buff Fang since he's a really cool character - make poison do more damage definitely, dunno what else.

Nerf ryu because a character that easy shouldn't be so good.

>a character that easy shouldn't be so good.
This is bad game design. Difficulty must not excuse overviability.

Fang
>ex sotoja combos from stand jab.
>v skill poison stacks ontop of special poison.
>s.hk is now +2 on block.

Chun-li.

>s.lk floats lower, no longer grants crossunder mixups.
> ial is now 0 on block.
> v trigger now 3 bars.

The Absolute Madman!

>these feet
>that face
Burn western developpers

How do you fix ibuki?

be xian

which is your favorite street fighter episode?

I did after every game of SFV just left me angry or bored.
Mainly to see if the goober meme of "evolving past SF" was real but no, SFIV is an amazing game and I still love it.
Flawed for sure but it's diverse and fun

I was never fortunate enough to catch the tv show.

Know where you could find it online?

the "it's a 20 win streak ken spamming dp" episode

can't wait to see this thread dying like the game

Vote for the kusoge king lineup

A goober created this thread. /fgg/ was and always will be the SF general.

excuse me but this is /sfg/ not /fgg/

If /fgg/ was /sfg/ then it would be called that and not /fgg/.

Why are you falseflagging, goober?

>/fgg/vo
>nothing but capcom games
>and some fc kuso

Is rashid going to do it?

Also they should stop playing on the training stage.

saved from page 10

how do I f.rh kara tiger shot as sagat

So I guess this thread is just for shitters who only play SFV then

practice. try to plink from srh to whatever shot you want.

That gets you tiger knee/DP

try to end the fireball motion in upforward?

most games will give you the fireball if you end in upforward.

You clearly know nothing about this technique and this specific instance of it.

sorry for trying to help user.

So why is sfv a bad game?

reddit.com/r/SF4/comments/284y5x/how_do_you_kara_tiger_shot/

People don't like the input delay I guess. It's also slower and less combo heavy than a lot of the other fighters out there. Big emphasis on the neutral and it's hard to get your damage without punishing or doing hard reads for a crush counter.

Why is this separate from fgg

Because /fgg/ doesn't like any fighting games and told them to all go make their separate Veeky Forums threads.
