the new moot didn't say he was selling.

he didn't say he wanted advice.

he said it's not profitable as-is so he's going to fix it.

that's all. It's not a democratic process. He knew it wasn't profitable when he bought it, he bought it with plans to fix it.

now the time has come. He's going to make it profitable. You're not going to like it.

Thanks for answering the op

They are correct tho, changes

He also didn't say how much he was making off selling our information or how much he makes letting all these fucking shills post here.

Personally, I believe it is much more.

Veeky Forums alone has over 1,500,000 posts and its one of the newest boards.

you can't really value the thing when
1. it's losing money
2. it's not for sale
3. it's about to be reworked so it doesn't lose money

there's a ton of things that can be done to make it worth far more than it is, and it looks like some of those things are going to happen.

so right now it's worth about $0.
next year it may be worth hundreds of millions.

>Veeky Forums isn't profitable
It might not be making a large amount of money but it is breaking even at the very least. If it wasn't self-sustaining, Moot would have taken donations (Veeky Forums hasn't accepted donations for about 10 years).

The various ads, Veeky Forums pass money, and volunteer staff is apparently more than enough to keep the site afloat. Nevermind, Hirouki has owned Veeky Forums for what, like a year now, and there have been no updates on the monetization scheme to date.

I really don't think Moot has sold Veeky Forums for less than 100k.
10K I would buy it. But 100k don't worth if you don't have a damn good plan to monetize it.

obviously worth $520,000,000 duh.

worthofweb.com/website-value/Veeky Forums.org/

>and there have been no updates on the monetization scheme to date.
Maybe the actual profit does not require any changes at all...

>post on 4fags

>it's dying etc

>0520 klu klux klun
No way man, no way...
520K at best

judging by how much facebook, microsoft and others have paid for shitty apps, I'd say Veeky Forums is worth $3,000,000,000

>there have been no updates on the monetization scheme to date.
ah, you didn't notice that ads are missing today and hiroshihikimori has posted on /qa/ about deleting boards or shutting the whole thing down or some such.

Lads... is our boy Shkreli gonna do it?

Fuck off, Shekeli.

Yeah I realized that right after I posted, scrolled down, and saw the other thread. Hiro is just a fucking kike.

...

>Shkreli

DA JEWS!

What would Martin do to Veeky Forums?

JUST TELL HOW MUCH!
I Have at home:
1 Dime
20 Cents of Euro
0,015 Monero
4000 Dogecoins

Is that enough?

wth is he holding in his hand?

a napkin

What are the highest traffic boards? Could they delete the smut boards like porn and what not?

Porn boards might be low traffic but good for keeping anons around. Shitpost on Veeky Forums, fap to /gif/, go back to Veeky Forums.

Also one advantage for Veeky Forums is the targeted nature of boards. Well targeted ads = more money from advertisers. Porn ads are fairly lucrative, right?

...

38% of US people visit this shithole 9x per day for 16 minutes.

5840 minutes per year * 318.9M people*.38= 707B minutes US Productive Time

US GDP 17T

17T$/707B min=$24/minute of Attention Value

*3600minutes per year = $86.4k value for the US audience.
with other countries 100k seem about right for a gross valuation.
But there are premiums to be talked about here. You can't just up and replace Mootland, with another dellchan, it will take years running at a loss.

Most businesses are bought on multiples of value. Typically 3-10x gross.

/fa is highest traffic by far except /b

...

>38% of US people visit this shithole 9x per day for 16 minutes
kek

38% of the people that visit are from the US.

not 38% of the US visits each day.

amazing how stupid Veeky Forums users are.

>More /b/ more /pol/ more Peepee
>Believe you me
>more memes

OH MARTIN

>Where are this site's visitors located?
>38% of US people visit this shithole 9x per day for 16 minutes.

I don't think you are reading it correctly. The table is saying that 38.2% of 4channers are from the US, not that 38.2% of US citizens visits Veeky Forums.

Getting targeted ads for Republican candidates on /pol/. Getting targeted ads for banks here. That's new.

highest traffic boards are /pol/, /b/ and /v/.

They could delete the porn boards.

I would personally like them to accept donations of any amount and call for donations. Some of us can help.

ah yes I was wondering how OP was not a faggot today.
turns out I dun goofed.

Anyone pay for alexa to see the full traffic breakdown by the numbers?

>Some of us can help.
he isn't asking for help because he already knows what he wants to do to make it profitable.

he's just giving fair warning that things are about to change.

Sadly, Veeky Forums is not worth anything. If you have a fan of image boards like hiromoot then you'd be able to sell it. Notice how he was the only one willing to buy.

Honestly, this place has no value period. If anything it has a negative value. It does nothing that makes it valuable to anyone. Even the users won't buy passes.

You'd be lucky to get $100,000 for it, but no more than that. Reddit is a prime example of how to do this right. Yeah yeah... But they do it right. They have celebrities doing ama's, huge catalog of content, useful content like LPT and sorting top by all time gives best content of a sub. It's a great design. Even fucking giving gold is a normal celebrated thing unlike here.

This place only has dank memes and clearly it's not enough. All memes aside... Think about it from a business perspective... Nothing to gain, but a lot to lose. Most people don't even want irl people to now they use this place.

so he's just a dumb edgelord?

>Veeky Forums has highest traffic next to /b/

wtf that is not right

Hiro just received a $5,000,000 offer so i guess we will find out soon enough.

from a man currently being indicted for securities fraud and out on bail?

not like that's a serious offer.

That's too little value. I'd say it's 350mm. The value of a company is calculated as follows: x% of y, where x is the market share and y is the market size. Twitch is much much more niche but it cornered the game streaming market. It sold for 960mm to Amazon. Veeky Forums's problem is it's userbase but you can still make some money if you have a restaurant in the downtrodden parts of Detroit.

>Veeky Forums's problem is it's userbase
it's an eclectic mix though.
I think surveys always showed Veeky Forums's users to be wealthier, younger, and better educated than the average population.

I think there are specific populations of users that are a problem for monetizing the site, but that's easy enough to fix. Investing in a crew of paid moderators might do the trick.

>now the time has come. He's going to make it profitable. You're not going to like it.
Now introducing Veeky Forums Gold!

Considering the monthly unique visitors and low ad revenue I'd estimate 4 million dollars.

There is no reason why Veeky Forums should rely on ad revenue so I think the value could easily be tripled with some changes.

500k unique monthly users in the US alone.
That's gotta be worth something.

That's based 3 dollars per a thousand unique visitors, which is a very low revenue. And a return of the investment after 4 years.

I don't know how much I trust those numbers.

personally I change IP's and delete cookies more often than I brush my teeth.

>Unique visitors per month: 27,700,000
>Location: United States (47%)
Veeky Forums.org/advertise

If this is true 4chin is a lot busier than you think.

This was my source (the first google hit on "4cahn web traffic")
quantcast.com/Veeky Forums.org

and you should really brush your teeth more often

I wonder how much money he's making off all the confessions on /b/ and /adv/.
