As much as I love playing Survival, SV has negative AoE right now. Unless they change Expert Trapper to affect Explosive Trap entirely and not just the target that triggers it, I don't see the spec going anywhere.

The alternate Doomhammer appearance you get for finishing tte Shaman campaign is fucking incredible.

They are the newest class, which is a type of hunter.

So yeah, they are the new hunter.

No hunters actually became more like hunters by making most of the abilities are AOE now.

DH has a lot of quality of life stuff but they actually require someone with half a brain to pilot unlike almost every other spec.
