I'm not really savvy on the hate for CoC since it's open source now and Fen literally has nothing to do with variants we make. Sure i think Slablands should be the focus because CoC is poorly coded and mostly finished but blindly hating on a game that people poured hours of writing into not just the furry writers but the early demons and monsters it's just as bad as Fen furfagging his way into a blind rage.

It starts out great but what happens when the project gets bigger and more writers show up and then someone that doesn't like someone else starts hating and creates a wall between people that agree and disagree and the group falls to pieces?

I'm just saying CoC has a ton of work put into it, It's open source and mostly finished. There's tons of the 3 F's in the game but what about the goblins, fairies, succubus, Incubus, Slime's, Wasps, Ants and all the other crazy monsters that show up for you to level up on? It's a finished game even if Fen keeps updating it little by little as a hobby. It's still fun to play even if you avoid all waifu collecting and play the game as a pure virgin paladin from the holy church of Fappington

Oh i understand wanting to move on and not look back and that's exactly what everyone should do. Slablands is great and shows incredible promise but the occasional "new" person popping in interested in CoC getting shunned and pushed away doesn't really help Slablands grow.

They should be told off for trying to talk about it because this thread is not about it. If they're interested in Slablands that's fine, but people who are just fans of that game or want to talk about it don't belong.

The header is Slablands/CoC General. I'm sorry I wanted to know what had happened to one of the two main items in the general, before I went ahead and wandered in to play the other. I even read the history first and everything. I appreciate the one user actually being helpful, but as for the other, perhaps you should take out the CoC in Slablands/CoC General if you want people to stop asking about CoC.

CoC is a bigger well known game. Some would say Doom 1 and 2 are some of the greatest in the FPS genre but the games are old and unknown to most young people and would stagnate and die if not for the many popular mainstream FPS games bringing interest to the genre.

Slablands is newer and smaller but it's great and has a better story but it's an unknown beast to people and people are wary of trying new things and you have to ease them into it. Keep the occasional CoC fan around and they'll grow interest in the lesser known game and take a chance to try it.

You think the key to Slablands's growth is to keep the furfaggotry that CoC got infested with and made us go our separate way around?
And why should we go and artificially generate interest in the game? It's up to people to do their research and see if they have an interest in it, not us to kick their doors in and spread the word about the coming of the messiah. Plus we're talking about an H-Game here. Those interested in that are always looking for new stuff. This idea that people are systematically repelled by new things is nonsense.
If they want Slablands, they'll find Slablands. It's a horrible plan to try and aggressively draw in as many people as possible and thus risk diluting the already existing community that serves as such a solid basis for the current game. Those who would take an interest in it will naturally be drawn to it over time. If you really want to advertise it, do so once the game is mostly done and its intent secure.
