Also recently hit a pole, fixed all body parts affected. But had to repair throttle cable and ended up deleting EGR shit. Not sure if that makes a difference.

1991 Mk2 golf 1300 4+e, on banded steelies with mild stretched toyo proxes, lowered with eibachs springs and koni adjustable shocks, roofrack + cycle carrier, there was two backboxes so I had one replaced with straight pipe gave it a much better sound, few interior mods chrome beetle style window winders kennwood head unit that matches the style of the interior, other than that been mainly a restoration project did the sump and rocker gaskets gear linkages diff seals changed water housing and seals painted rocker cover red and serviced. More mods to come

Yeah mines a bit notchy but I definitely need to check mine then. Other than reverse, it's really smooth. The initial push takes a slight bit of effort, but once it moves it is like notchy butter.
