Sure:

Before the patch, healing and reviving gave you fire points, just like killing and doing damage. But the healing side of the spectrum gave almost no fire unless you were really doing work.

Now they increased the amount of points you get for healing and reviving. Reviving was doubled to 100 points per person, and healing is now 7-10 points per second from 3-5. Killing someone solo is 100 points, so if you have a game where the largest kill streak was around 3 kills by ONE person, and a mercy healed 2 people and revived 2 people while sucking a dick, the game will give more points to the Mercy and it would have more effect on what the game chooses for POTG.

Comp isn't a ladder you're meant to climb, it's a bucket you're supposed to sit in. You gain points and lose points based on how the system feels you're doing in relation to your current skill rating.

After you stagnate in your bucket, the only way to climb out and into a higher one is to actually improve.
