Veeky Forums is going down Veeky Forumsbros

The only thing i'm afraid which is most defiantly going to happen is that we lose our Veeky Forumsness culture. Veeky Forums guys have no idea what business creation is and certainly have no idea what it is to be an entrepreneur.

unfortunately, there are likely only 20 Veeky Forums regulars, so we wont have much of an impact.. but im down for spreading our shill antics to other boards

literally the worst thing that could happen is the consolidation of boards.

Veeky Forums has so much traffic it's exceeded Moot's original philosophy of keeping boards vague and all encompassing, there's too many normies on Veeky Forums now for that philosophy to be effective.

Just look at /tv/... only a third of the posts are actually about film and television, it's basically /hr/2.0 with frogposting, trolling, and industry speculation.

No one actually watches TV or movies on that board. it should really be subdivided three ways because it's three different communities smooshed together.

But I think consolidation of boards will lead to just worse shit, I mean look at slow boards like /p/ -- constructive discussions, people actually know what their talking about, people even show their fucking faces in that board.

But because there's one thing that unifies every poster there it works, even though, or perhaps BECAUSE it is slow.

Having said all that, Veeky Forums has to do what it has too do - it's a victim of it's own success, being torn from within.

Btw on an unrelated note, our board needs janitors so we can have stickys and stuff and the thing is, there is no janitor. This needs to change.

This board should stay opened, it's one of the only boards I'm actually writing to. I received legit good advices (inb4 buy crypto) multiple times and it'd suck to lose the small but great community we built over time here.

I don't get why someone would buy Veeky Forums without a good solid plan of making revenue. Instead he puts the blame on the community by "informing us prior doing anything". It's just like "hey I'll close the website unless you throw me money". It's a hypocritical way of begging for cash. He just has to ask straight and IMO he'll get plenty enough donations to keep the website going for years.

This is why I don't use adblock.
