different target audience It does kinda say at the end that the idol culture isn't all that evil but you still spend most of the game piecing together what is basically a suicide letter, trying to help other idols and freeing shadows that got pulled into Midnight Stage because they belong to betas that clinged to idolshit because muh escapism and real people might hurt you while idols are always perfect >with some Never said it's a deconstruction of idolshit genre. Hell, 2moe didn't even have it that bad and Nozomi would actually be better off becoming her stage persona.
