Nope, they just need to be added to the animation subgraph for whatever you're trying to add animations to (it's a text file) for them to show up in the editor and ingame, then you assign a keyword to the animations, assign a keyword to the weapon so it uses them, and you can have weapon-specific animations with nothing replaced or hacky workarounds. I'm probably simplifying it a bit.

It's convoluted but it is basically what everyone has been asking for this whole time, a way to add custom non-overriding animations without script shenanigans or anything like that.

Finally playing through Nuka World proper, happy my character is a bit of a dick anyways because it kind of railroads you into acting like one if you don't want to get rolled over.
It feels like Bethesda took all the complaints about the raider backstories of the Commonwealth just being backstories (since the player couldn't do anything but shoot them) and went overboard trying to appease those types.
I'm still enjoying it, I just feel like this whole DLC was meant to fill another niche left over from the main game (asshole characters/mercs/raider types that the Player can talk to and join) but fails to fix it in the Commonwealth proper. Gunners are still just enemies, raiders are still just enemies, Rust Devils are still just enemies, and your "Raider Settlements" are just reskinned minutemen.

ENBs are nowhere near the level they are in Skyrim atm so right now you should stick to light performing, colour correcting, ENBs with nice DoF.
I recommend Subtle ENB.

hey guys, I was wondering if someone could help me fix this issue I've been having.

My Build: Gtx 980, 12 GB DDR3 ram, i5-4690k
So, like most people, I originally experienced horrible optimization in Fallout 4. I got micro stutters and frame drops. I was able to fix those by turning down shadows and godrays, turning off the fps cap, running the game in boarderless windows, and then capping the framerate to 60 with MSI Afterburner.
Now Nuka World is out and I finally got around to play it and of course, the game runs like shit when I'm in Nuka World. Any time I'm exploring Nuka World, (Nuka Galaxy and Fizz Mountain especially) I get horrible microstutter. It seems to happen more at day. In general, when I'm outside, there is just a constant slight choppiness to everything, and then occasionally I'll get hit by a huge series of microstutters. Occasionally I'll get frame dips too, (usually to 57, but sometimes down to 45), but those don't really concern me and they are very temporary.
Edit: I have also experimented with setting max pre render frames to everything between 1 and 4. I have had the best luck with 1, but it still is bad.

It also doesn't seem to be maxing out my gpu or my cpu.

I do not. I am also considering the idea that it might be a mod conflict? I haven't updated any of my mods since I played last (far harbor release) and since it doesn't seem to be taxing my gpu or cpu, I feel like it's not a hardware issue.

yeah, the most I've seen was 60%. This game. I am definitely looking at mod issues right now.

In Nexus Mod Manager, the load order showed that DLCWorkshop02 and 03 as well as NukaWorld weren't checked at all, but after checkboxing them, it did nothing to change the microstutter.

I'm thinking about this build to tackle the new content with. I wanted to do some more run 'n gun style of play this time instead of sneaking around, so I invested heavily into the health and defense perks. I also wanted some variety with my rifles so I maxed out Gun Nut and Science!. And settlements are kind of a thing for me, so I went further up the CHA tree.

what do you use Mod Organizer? I never really saw the point. Mod Manager is easy to use for me and I haven't ever had problems until now. Basically, it's what I know to use and haven't felt like switching. Although I might switch to it for the mod profiles when I install Nehrim.
