They rank third in the overall hierarchy (with the first being drawfags, second being voicefags, third being memefags, and sixth being writefags). They have no real content to contribute, so they sit around and force stupid jokes until everyone in the thread goes insane. It's best to ignore them like the riff-raff they are and continue speaking on topic.

If an old bot from the first three FNAF games returns for Sister Location, not redesigned but simply in addition to everyone else, who would you want it to be and why?

I'd raise issue with your point if you weren't completely fucking right. Poke put out an on-model FNAF2 story like three days ago as a thread request and got two replies, neither of which had anything to do with its content. Whenever he drops a new Roommates, on the other hand, it averages 8-10 replies and typically sparks conversation that lasts the entire length of the thread and sometimes well into the next. Hell, even Root and Sy, part of the thread's "big three" writefags routinely have to repost multiple times to get attention. On the other hand, even big-name drawfags here can post art and be ignored, so I guess it all depends on the crowd and how slow of a day it is.

True, but for them it's just a rarer slow day, while if it's a writefag it's business as usual and is expected.

I imagine method of consumption has a lot to do with it as always. Writefaggotry takes longer to read than a drawing does to look at, and the worse a story's written, the harder it is to absorb. Mistakes matter in writing far, far moreso than they do in art. Plus, I'd be lying if I said I haven't started reading stories written here only to quit out upon realizing they're laden with typos and dodgy formatting. A little proofreading goes a long way towards making your mark as a writefag.

Well of course, that's just the nature of an imageboard really.
As a result there's rarely ever writefag discussion and when there is, it doesn't last long due to not enough participants. Which results in little increase in readers because no one's talking about it. So we've got a vicious circle.
