Try the anthology route. Make a different location and a different story with a different cast. It's hard to make a direct sequel out of a story like that...but a new story? Sounds a lot more doable.

I think I like this method best. This picture is a little tough. I'm leaning towards Frisk but knocking that candy bowl over is and awfully Chara thing to do.
