I'm not even sure why people call R2 a trainwreck. When you call something a trainwreck it just makes it sound like it crashed and burned, and I don't think R2 really did that.

It was a trainwreck in that the director and writers clearly stopped giving any shits about 2-3 episodes in and the whole season was just a pissing contest to see how many cliffhangers, nonsensical plot twist, memes, and general fuckery they could throw into it. Considering how well written the first season was it made it all the more insane. It was like watching someone paint the Mona Lisa and then start poking holes in the canvas with a pair of scissors half way through for no reason.
