Previous Threaderino: Welcome to the merged general of Elite: Dangerous and Star Citizen. __________________________________ >Elite: Dangerous information: pastebin.com/ZT9GWmaC
If it doesn't have a general, post it here; just don't get upset about sharing. If it DOES have a general, please go. We don't need your baggage. Above is a pastebin of games you can play while waiting for SC and E:D to become playable. Don't fucking reply to obvious bait.
>Instead of griefing in game they grief in the forums and ruin people's fun
The irony is palpable.
Owen Walker
hmmm are you though? see
Gabriel Wood
>best Ftfy finally can go sleep
Henry Murphy
dads btfo oh i have
Jacob Harris
forgot your spoiler mate
Parker Williams
EDfags what ships have you collected so far? Haulers, iEagle, Viper III, Courier, AspX, FAS, FdL, Python so far.
Cameron Russell
All of them.
Dylan Jones
I've flown every ship excpet cutter and corvette
Isaac Cruz
since you guys are casuals now, why don't they just get rid of solo mode and add a "stop pvp engagement" button to the cockpit instead? immersion is lame anyway lmao
wow if other players are triggering you that much maybe you should turn solo mode on :^)
Michael Peterson
In the beginning, we were empty Ignorant of all things We did not know the VISION that abides in every place And in every Time Here is the VISION It brings us joy It awakens the soul It dispels all doubts In worlds, we perish In the VISION, we survive
Carter Garcia
robots doing all that stuff instantly is more believable than teleporting a huge spaceship across a galaxy with no pilot
Wyatt Gomez
whats the original book
Jose Wilson
Elite: Nemorensis by Simon Sparrer
Jose Mitchell
>Robots have the capability to instantaneously load 800 tons of cargo >Robots have the capability to instantaneously refit an air craft carrier sized ship with new armor >This is believable
My sides
Evan Fisher
>Immersion >Can't buy iron (and other shit) anywhere >FSD can cross the galaxy in a day, humans still basically confined to a sphere a few hundred ly across >Engineers are incompetent and can't perform the same mod twice
Henry Howard
thats nice, tedium for the sake of tedium breaks immersion.
you got btfo
Landon Rogers
are any of the elite books actually good
Joseph Williams
the vision must flow the vision expands perception
>>>>>>>
Levi Brooks
Programming cooldown timers is hard, user. It's easier just to make it instant, or just make it take 1 minute per lightyear.
>wait cant they just make it take 10 minutes per 100 LY like a player piloting the ship would
>NO THE POLL SAYS 100 MINUTES
Xavier Brooks
Funny, coming from the guy that hangs around combat loggers. Probably do it yourself.
William Morgan
programmed robot arms can do anything mate
Jason Barnes
how is teleporting a ship any less tedious? you still have to play the game (you hate)
Lincoln Foster
Hahahaha. No.
Anyone got the excerpt?
Elijah Cook
So then programmed robot arms can teleport my ship across a galaxy with no pilot
Checkmate atheists.
Jeremiah Ramirez
>basically a tier 2 starter >best nah dawg lemme fix that for you
Nicholas Barnes
I love the way the ref code generator linked in OP just gives the same code everytime. Someone's gonna make Captain.
Owen King
Excluding the one prolapse book they were okay. Docking is Difficult, Reclamation and Wanted were decent. Compared to proper sci-fi books they're absolute rubbish but they killed a couple of hours.
Each time it is opened it displays one code for half a second before generating a new one. Unless you're offering to help fix it, which you probably aren't. I can at least confirm that it's been working because I've gotten one prospect myself
Luis Johnson
mixing fixed and gimbal guns in SC is so dumb and gay and pointless. discuss.
really gimbals on a fighter are just dumb in general
Gabriel Bailey
>really gimbals on a fighter are just dumb in general
Had me right up until that.
Sebastian Moore
>mixing fixed and gimbal guns in SC is so dumb and gay and pointless. discuss. Yes. >really gimbals on a fighter are just dumb in general No.
Austin Young
SO HARDCORE NO GIMBALS
faggot
Bentley Harris
that sounds like some pretty extreme surgery happened user.
Juan Ramirez
what's the point when you can spin freely with no atmosphere at any time
the gimbal bullshit just adds weight. in a real spaceship the weight would be carefully minimized and the gun built right into the frame
Aaron Ward
Some of us would like to actually see the galaxy, user.
Wyatt Cruz
mousenigger detected. Why not just play csgo instead
Christopher Martinez
Their codebase doesn't have the foundation for any of that, even if they wanted any of that it'd be impracticable to add.
also: >basebuilding >BUT MUH "vision"
It's free now if you pirate it, and even that's too expensive.
Not even pretty, and you can watch muted Lets Play for that. Do it while you're alt tabbed out during travel.
Another great alt tab activity.
Henry Miller
hopefully you can go prone on the dashboard
Brayden Lopez
You don't even need to alt-tab in the Freelancer for that.
Christian Morris
>what's the point when you can spin freely with no atmosphere at any time Well, if you're going to drag realism into this, putting the gun on a small motorized gimbal would make arming take a fraction of power that using the ship's thrusters to move the entire fucking ship around would use.
Jose Evans
Man, I don't even care that the cockpit is like that, I still want a freelancer. I don't know why or what did it, but something about seeing it in the 3.0 demo made me really want one. I hope earning one with an Avenger won't take too long.
Leo Barnes
Kek, made my day
Noah Cox
>154159274
Charles Russell
if you're already in a dogfight that savings would be negligible and then you'd have a much smaller or more exposed gun
Jackson Jackson
>exposure of weapons on a fighter-sized craft mattering with the amount of shields and maneuverability in the game
Hell, probably make yourself less of a target by spreading your ship as thin as possible.
Jordan Sanders
Sandro wanted to get rid of things slowing the game down.
You should realise your god and saviors right hand man is talking about shit in the game pecisk. Time for you to get the fuck out.
Thomas Sanchez
It was going to be part of the 2.2 update. Then some idiot leaked screenshots of the beta and caused the whole controversy of it being "instant".
Anthony Sullivan
I love the wedge ships in Elite.
Cobra a cute, cute!
Robert Morgan
> in a real spaceship This is bait. ((((YOU))))
Colton Morgan
Is anyone planning to get a Buccaneer? What are your thoughts on it?
I got on during the concept sale. People seem to expect it to go toe to toe with a Hornet, but I'm expecting it to be more of an intermediate between the Gladius and the Sabre. Fast, punchy, but coming up short against an equally skilled Sabre and still vulnerable if caught under the guns of a Hornet.
Also the majority of guns being stuck on those big flimsy wings is very worrying.
Nathaniel Evans
>space shuttle How do you fuck up that bad, seriously.
There had to have been a better way to get a reusable spacecraft.
Sebastian Kelly
What the fastest you can supercruise at?
Joshua Moore
slow
Cameron Lewis
cause it has both, it's called aerospace, dudester
Aaron Long
What's the fall with the "transaction server" error message? My internet connection is somewhat unstable, is this related?
If so, can this be played offline?
Aiden Reyes
some guy a few threads back was traveling .22ly in supercruise. He hit something like 1,800c on the way
James Murphy
Single-stage-to-orbit is hard IRL
Brody Russell
I'm still hoping for huge system wide races. Each checkpoint could be a jump gate that shoots you to another star system with different shit to race through
Aaron Butler
>mfw
Parker Cox
Friends forever, right?
Chase Barnes
It seemed appropriate for the combined thread
John Ross
>Military wanted big wings so it return to different airbases in an emergency or after delivering payloads to heavily inclined orbits. >Wanted a big payload bay to fit their secret satellites in. The whole thing was a clusterfuck of scope creep.
Luke Garcia
2,001 c
Asher Ramirez
it was a mockup of planetside derelicts they did people might live in them, they could be for salvage, you might have to pvp scavengers over the contents, who knows.
Mason Brooks
and now they've all blown up... killing dozens of astronauts in the process.
Blake Ortiz
why aren't the MIS, MAX and DUR flyable yet? what would be so hard about tossing them in?
