It's that time again, /fgg/. Time to play a bunch of dead kusoges (and some not dead kusoges) and watch as people gloat because they're the only people that still play that dead game.

>Points System
This time we'll be assigning a point value to the top 8 finishers in each tournament. The player with the most points at the end of the series will be declared Kusoge King.

1st - 32 points
2nd - 16 points
3rd - 8 points
4th - 4 points
5th/6th - 2 points
7th/8th - 1 point

The man with the most points will be allowed to ban 1 game from the next season's lineup.

-In the event of a controller malfunction or any other event that disrupts the match the responsible player must forfeit the round. If no player can be determined at fault replay the set with the score before the malfunction.

practice, execution and movement options are really important to KOF. If you're not native to KOF, you're gonna have a bad time.

I don't think Ono has a really good idea of what made SF... well, SF. He thinks that pandering to the SF2 nostalgia will be enough, but that's how it completely works. If you notice, both SFIV and SFV has this very safe but still quirky attempts at being (and looking) humorous and lighthearted with some comedy shenanigans coming either from the characters moves or the NPCs on the stage, because of SF2 nostalgia.

The thing is SF2 wasn't (just) humorous. SF2 was also pretty serious in some regards. It wasn't scared of showing characters (not caring if male or female) in pain with blood on their faces in the win/lose screens, everything about SF2 was built around new ideas (those iconic characters weren't already instilled in our minds, despite being really derivative of their tropes) and it had so much love for music, art and personalities.

This is largely the reason why both SFIV and SFV don't feel "natural" in terms of artstyle but rather like cheap fast cashgrabs attempts, and the fact they were both outsourced to minor dev houses consolidates my point.
