Guys, I hacked my 3DS quite some time ago and haven't touched it in months. It's hacked and I have an emuNAND on it, but it's been so long that I completely forgot how to do anything and what to be careful about.

It has RX-E 10.6.0-31E on it. My sysNAND is on 9.2.0-20E.

I want to update my device to the latest firmware without breaking my emuNAND so that I can access the eShop and buy the latest Phoenix Wright game. Or is there a way to pirate eShop-only games? I really don't remember but I feel like you couldn't do that in the past (maybe I'm remembering wrong).

So, yeah. How do I get the latest Ace Attorney game on this shit? Can I simply update through my emuNAND without breaking anything?

You can safely update your emuNAND, but it's recommended you use LumaCFW instead of RxTools (It works with an emuNAND set up too, before you ask)

I hacked my 3DS and it works fine, only problem I have is that I hacked it on the 4GB SD card that it came with and can only ever install 1 game at a time.
If I were to buy a bigger SD card, would I have to repeat the whole hacking process or could I simply CTRL + C > CTRL + V everything on my old SD card to the new one and have it work?

I asked this yesterday but got no response.

Did it for my 3 n3ds a couple of weeks ago, it took about 2 hours per 3ds, the longest parts being the NAND backups.

If you know how to read it is absolutely safe.

the game still relies on the fact that you need a dev signed eboot to be able to boot. if you try using a normal game (say PT for example) it wouldnt boot. it would just give an error and return you to XMB. now i do have one dev signed game on hand but its a broken build so i cant get past the main menu.

Installation is easy too. Assuming you used the retards guide for installing RxTools, you can just drop in Luma3DS.dat and add an entry for it on the .cfg file in the root of your SD.

Most a9lh setups dispense with emunand totally. That's not to say you can't have one, but most people don't need one.

You're not missing out on enough that you should revamp your setup. If you're using a modern entrypoint like menuhax, it's easy to switch to Luma though.
