I really can't have much fun with it either. The sim battles are alright, but mostly dead, and the realistic battles are "entire team either goes somewhere alone and dies or circles at 3-5 km and jumps on the first plane they see"

There's also the question of "how the fuck did they out-turn me, out-dive me, out-climb me, outrun me, and then kill my pilot, clip my wing, set my fuel on fire, and then fuck my wife with one cannon round?"

I dunno, I'm kinda hoping we'll be able to do so black hawk down type shit and take out individual vehicles in a convoy with shots to the engine block, or drop them off on rooftops and shit. If nothing else, it'll be a novelty- no other DCS module allows you to do that sorta shit.

And that's without talking about the fact that they are literally broken because mission scripting is very sensitive to changes in patches, making many missions in a campaign unplayable. There's also the bug where a campaign just doesn't progress, and it's such a common bug that most people will tell you to just play every mission individually in the right sequence instead of trying to do it with the campaign functionality.

Hard to explain because cameras fuck them up pretty hard. They are less thick than you would think and they don't really form streaks like they do in movies, instead it's just an afterimage in your eye from the contrast in the night.

I guess I'll have to go find myself some tracer rounds and a gun one day.
