>you will never get a fallout game based around tribal life and warfare

I've owned NV since 2010 and put a couple hundred hours in but never played the DLC. Would this be good enough proof of high functioning autism if I wanted to go to the government for NEETbux?

Shit I thought I was bad for getting like 400 hours on the 360 version, the DLC's great dude, you should try it.

What the fuck are you doing mate. The ultimate edition is available for like 5 shekels.

>nv without the dlc
>couple hundred hours
Im sorry but the game is terrible without the addons

>nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/45138/?
>1.3 GB worth of an enhanced pre-escape Vault 101
Wew. Please tell me there's more to this Part 1.

really? ive played through NV a fair few times without touching the DLC. i mean, it's nice to be able to do a few more quests in some new landmasses, but it's not like the DLC makes the base, fundamental game better.

>but it's not like the DLC makes the base, fundamental game better.
>all the new crafting recipes from HH
>additional weapon modifications
>not making the game better

They add perks, bug-fixes, weapons, recipes, items, increased level cap

if additional crafting recipes and weapon mods is enough to bring the game from being "not terrible" to "good", well, I guess all I can say is that your priorities are a little odd.

This is true, I hadn't considered that. Still though, a lot of those weapons, perks and recipes are exclusive to the DLC areas, best case being that you can bring them back to the mojave. That doesn't seem like enough to make the game not "terrible" if you didn't already like it.

>perks and recipes are exclusive to the DLC areas, best case being that you can bring them back to the mojave.
that's not true at all.
Not even remotely.

I don't understand. Most of the perks added in the DLC ARE obtained in the DLC.

You don't need to be in the DLC to get a DLC perk if that's what your implying.
You just need it installed. Same goes with everything else.

What do you think about Lonesome Road?

Been considering playing modded NV again.

Will it run on Win10? Or do I need to download and dual boot 7/8.1?

it will im running on 10

I've been running it with Windows 10 for like a year now and no problems.

Cool. Does it still have loads of issues with GeForce Experience and other nvidia driver shit?

uh not that i know of but id check just in case ive had no issues on a 980ti

THE BEAR AND THE BULL

Got the same card, thanks.

>implying that's not all of New Vegas

Granted, I do see where you're coming from.
I too would like a game largely based around stereo-typically savage tribals.

I'm finally continuing image related Enclave run where we get our shit kicked in during FO3, but with a third of our remaining might, the daughter of Autumn carves out a city-state under President Gannon using the Yes Man path and a fukkin Securitron army.

It's actually quite cool. With a little tweaked dialog in the GECK, New Vegas is ripe for covert take over by the Enclave. FO3 has all that nasty 'already present and an antagonist' stuff to work around.

I'll carry it into FO4 and have Nate or Nora re-enlisted and called into service by this revitalized Enclave, to justify why my (personal) Minutemen wear Enclave colors and why I'm using the 'Institute merged with Enclave' mod. But that's for a different thread, even if I suspect most of my fellow Enclave affectionados are here.

What's it like being spied on more than any sane person who stayed using Windows 7?

Wow, has it really been over a year?

I went for more of the Remnant idea for my Enclave run, but this seems like a cool idea.

I'm interested to see both runs

Zion!

Mods?

SMNC?

I forget which, I only used it for the birth and set up/child-teen phase, but it's either The Eagle has Landed or For the Enclave. Both are good yet flawed mods that an incomplete beyond the early stages. They make great Enclave alternate start mods though, as long as you disable them after leaving Raven Rock. (One makes some massive changes to the landscape, such as image-related, as it was built on the assumption that the Lone Wanderer died in childbirth and the Enclave took the Captal Wasteland before the Brotherhood could get a foothold.)

(Image related is even a heavily edited version of whichever I had running; there is another level that has been built on to Megaton, containing the Enclave embassy. There is a watchtower outside the city, guard posts between megaton and Vault 101, and a Vertibird parked outside the Super duper Mart. Shit's great, if you don't mind shitting on the main quest, which I wouldn't, but I'm trying to be lore compliant enough for FO4 to still occur.)

My long term vision for this run is basically to fulfill Autumns vision of the Enclave, which I always saw as the Mid-Western Brotherhood of Steel sort of organization. Not the FO2 or EDEN path, but one where the Enclave does genuinely want to rebuild the government and military, and eventually civilization, albeit with much purging of mutants and a despotic/military-state feel.

Let's face it, Autumn and the Eastern Brotherhood (especially in FO4) are two sides of the same coin. They both wanted DC and the Purifier for what it represented and the hold on the populace it offered respectively.

I think a new idealistic President (Arcade) and a city-state to grow a bigger civilian population and recruitment base, the Pitt for its iron works, and later the Institute and Commonwealth for the high-tech bunker base, a foothold back in the East again, and influence on the civilian militia and co-ops works. Best of all, it can be done without having a great deal of obvious contradictions and fucking aroudn with established storylines. All I'm really doing is tweaking the cosmetics and details of the Yes Man ending and then the Minutemen-Institute ending.

Everything still has to go to shit in FO3 though. I might get away with bombing the Citadel and keeping the base crawler, assuming that as long as I let Sarah live they will rebuild the Citadel, and history will continue practically the same.

Post your go-to weapon for everything.

I like it, I've always enjoyed the idea of a more humanized and genuine Enclave. Especially considering characters like Autumn and Sergeant Granite.

It'll definitely be alot different than my Enclave run of New Vegas since I made my character's background with New Vegas' theme of letting go in mind.

They can watch me jack off if they want its nothing interesting

OLD WORLD FLAG

I was thinking of a Jack Torrance run. Listed all the details I've considered for it here: pastebin.com/ehfga9SS

Any suggestions for it?

That new Friday the 13th game is gonna be sick.

I'd say add in having Wild Wasteland for the occasional supernatural happening and you're golden.
I'll even chuck it in with the other runs in the pastebin.

Thanks, wastelander.

Remove all the marked men, keep the tunnelers and the deathclaws, and I think it would have been 7/10. As is, 5/10.

Oh, how could I forget about such a detail. Thanks for the tip.
For my run I'm going to replace the missing "Begin Again" song with youtu.be/vJ9aT-Wa_tE for that authentic flavor.

Sounds like an excellent run, user.
You've got some damn fine taste.

Do enemys in fallout one and two drop items on defeat?
or is there a mod?

Do we have a teamspeak for the FOnline group?
I can't look at the steam group chat and it kinda sucks

Which place should be he next fallout and why?

SOUTH havent done one yet.

why make him a dummy?

I think he means like dean Sierra madre martini, you need to talk to Dean to get it. Still, you need the DLCs for all good mods, so there's another reason why dlcs do make the game better

Alaska

NUCLEAR WINTER

>Still, you need the DLCs for all good mods,
And it hampers the progress of NV modders to this day because people don't want to pay 5 dollars for the full game and they have to work around that or listen to poorfags and third-worlders complain that the mod author should have made it work without the DLC.

It's not like asshats don't complain anyway.
>Hurr your mod is incompatible with this mod I personally use
>Fix it you lazy modder

Fuck oath, it's ridiculous.
At least buying all the DLC prevents a lot of fucking issues, but still, six years later, a significant price drop and the ability to pirate the DLC and have them work, yet people still won't bother.
It's infuriating.

Has anyone ever done a explosives run? If so, how did it go? I'm considering giving it a try.

I've read on the wiki that you can wear the Atomic Valence thingy from OWB, the one that gives you regeneration, with hats and berets because it goes in the glasses slot. However, I can't wear it with Boone's beret, selecting one removes another. The only stuff-changing mods I ran is JSawyer.esp and Mission Mojave. Any idea what's going on?

even guys like Dornan weren't utterly irredeemable. I mean, the guy was harsh on his recruits, but if he thought you were civilians that had just wandered into Navarro he didn't have you executed, just escorted off site. It was only if he thought you were a spy he raised the alarm. I suspect that the majority of the Enclave in Fallout 2 were as varied as folk today.

fun as fuck

One of the best, absolutely entertaining.

It's actually surprising there aren't people who almost always do Explosives playthroughs and post the Grenade Rifle or something as their gunfu like the Holorifle guys do.

reminder that if obsidian is working on a new fallout, it won't be announced until a few months before release

Is it recommend for Very hard/Hardcore?

Sure, why not?

I want to believe

Are these any good?

how is that a sound marketing strategy?

They did it with 4 and it worked tremendously. They've now said that they're going to do it with most of their projects.

They can announce it and it will generate loads of hype because it's already massively popular, and at the same time it will be able to show a minimum and as such give negative shit little to build off

Fatman only run: most fun I have ever had in NV
>Console yourself Fatman/Esther + 10000 of each mininukes
>turn hardcore (or ammo weight) off

missiles/mini nukes weigh shit ton

Suck it up, you'll need a high Strength to wield the weapons correctly anyway.

Honestly? I think it's New Vegas's Operation: Anchorage, and I didn't like it.

I actually like Ulysses, but he's not enough to sustain an entire DLC. The rest of it is just samey environments with endless, punishing combat, and I'm not playing New Vegas for the combat.

LR had the sweetest armor so it's okay in my book

Cool as fuck armor, felt like a drag to go through though
Didn't think OWB was very good either, HH was okay, DM was my favourite but can see why people didn't like it as much

Pulse literaly one shots enclave in PA

Random Encounters is good, does exactly what it says and I've had no problems with it, although the spawns are a little rarer than I'd like. Better New Vegas has always completely shredded my performance whenever I've tried using it, and I've got a decent PC.

fallout 4 general is for jerking off over waifus, this is for discussing the good entries in the series.

>this is for discussing the good entries in the series
no wonder there's never any discussion here

so whats the go to enb with good performance these days? for nv with 970

vindicator literally "one turns" Horrigan. Bozar and possibly avenger too

Seriously?

Dreary

yeah I saw the video too faggot
but he was a level 99 with maxed out everything and ad shit ton of perks

Don't you have a job to do, Todd?

you don't need to be lvl 99 for that to work. Just, extra ranged damage, better criticals 10 LCK and sniper. If you are really lucky irl you could theoretically kill him with 2 bursts.

...

why?

How would you feel about exploring the BoS civil war in a future game? Maybe even one that could involve warlords and favtions against Maxson?
