You act surprised but there's a good reason why clowns end up lasting longer than most. First, they don't have a set work place, so if science / engineering / medical gets sabotaged, they often won't be near it, so they won't die in the first attack. Second, they're used to being hounded, so they're usually solitary and roam around, usually self-sufficient. Third, they aren't actually a target for antagonists (unless they're the literal objective target), since they're not medical, head or security. And fourth, competent clowns are usually played by the most robust players on the server, when shit goes down and they don't die instantly (helped by the previous reasons), they can usually manage to survive pretty well. There's also the occasional happenstance that an antagonist will spare the clown if he doesn't consider him a threat.
