I'm going through HW now just beat nidhogg and I gotta agree with this.
The way that the quests are structured, on top of the fucking huge size of the zones (so you're constantly running -to- new places instead of running to -and- from), makes it feel more like a regular RPG rather than an MMO.
I also like how the aether currents are placed in such a manner that you'll naturally pass by them as you do the MSQ. It adds to that sense of progression and "normal RPG" feeling.

Is it wrong that the main reason I dont play MCH is the weapons and how they hold them? Like its supposed to be a handgun, but they're the size of grenade launchers and long rifles. Then they hold them in that stupid sideways one handed pose. Like if they just held them like a rifle I'd be fine with it.
Repairing adds 100% to the durability; you can go as high as 199%. Normal repairs just goes to 100%.
