Except that's all wrong. All of it. Every single thing. The trick to hitting the EoC is to rely on DoT effects to finish it off near the end or to just spam and hope something hits. Avoiding it is simple enough, runfast boots do the job.

Wrong. Worm Scarf is for many players considered a worthwhile damage reduction item well into endgame, Shield of Cthulhu is a great jump boost for the boots early on, even in mid-air, but still has use at late game as it becomes an integral item for countering Fishron's final phase, the Hive Pack is fucking fantastic if you're going Full Beemancer before hardmode hits (and, if you're using throwing, magic, or ranged, there's a lot of reason to), Royal Gel is very, very useful for reducing the annoyances of building a base in per-hardmode as you don't have to stop every few seconds to deal with a slime, also spiked slimes like those found in the jungle or tundra are no issue at all, Demon Heart is a WHOLE EXTRA ACCESSORY SLOT, and so on.

Spiked slimes can fire a spread. Skeletons can throw bones. Tundra water is a hazard. Bats have one of the most annoying debuffs. Lava slimes shit lava on death, which can make it a pain to work on your bridge or get furniture out of the structures. Giant mimics reflect projectiles in general when shut, but in expert, these reflected projectiles result in dealing damage to the player. It's more than just stat buffs.

Not really. Especially if you're trying to do Fishron early. You dash into its charge and you both back off and only Fishron has taken any damage. It is one of the most effective tools for minimizing Fishron's damage.

One of the best because it's one of the most annoying. It makes bats a real hazard instead of something you just swat out of habit.

The Feral Bite debuff gives you a 20% damage increase. If you're going for full on damage and if you have the ankh shield it's insanely useful.

Is anyone else having ridiculously high enemy spawn rates?

I posted about this last night. I thought maybe it was just that I hadn't played in a while and that's why I kept getting overwhelmed. But again today I'm getting swarmed by enemies. At one point I was attacked by seven demon eyes and one zombie at the same time. It wasn't a Blood Moon, I didn't have a water candle or battle potion. I was all alone, then all of a sudden there were eight fucking enemies around me.

Is it just me? Or is anyone else seeing more enemies than usual?
