As an atheist, I give zero fucks about religion. Wanna believe in fairy tales or an extremely flawed book written by men, go right ahead. But the second you start attacking others and trying to force others to believe what you do, that's when I have a problem. Religion can do great good in the world but also is capable of great evil. There is no right or wrong religion.

Islam is generally a peaceful religion. The perception of it though has been tainted by extremists. I have no problem with Islam one way or the other. Until they start trying to force others to believe their fairy tales.
The Catholic Church is much the same as Islam. To this day, the church protects pedophiles. Their excuses for the Crusades, among other abominable shit are always "well they interpreted it wrong. The bible has been used to defend rape, slavery, and keeping women from their right to vote, among other shit.

If I had my way, there would be no religion, but some people need something to believe in. That's fine. Just don't force others to think like you do. That's fascism.
