I have never owned an FM transmitter that actually worked even somewhat well. They were all garbage. Even the $100+ ones.

Thats basically what ive heard from everyone ive spoken to about it, but then again ive never heard anyone mention using a usb as a source

FM transmitters all kind of depend on how your receiver and antennae are set up. They don't work all that well if they're integrated in the glass like mine. Tape adapters are okay, but most of the ones I've used require some modification to last longer. I'm considering splicing in a bluetooth device by intercepting the CD Changer signal, since I've only got the single disc and no changer in the trunk.
