Post yfw "the light" comes on

My face doesn't change, I just plug my computer in, see what the issue is and fix it.
If your face changes you're a helpless pleb.

this. just fix it and move on

I've been riding with that shit for more than a year, zero fucks givan.

...

>tfw OBD 1

...

>Owning cars with CELs

what kind of code?

>he owns so few cars that he doesn't have cars with computers and cars without
Wow, kinda disgusted right now.

upstream o2 sensor, already changed the sensor for a new one and the shit keeps coming back on.
Not sure what the problem is

>ignition problem
>dumping unburned fuel into the cat
>cat burns it off an kills itself

Instead of taking it to a mechanic to get it diagnosed you're going to spend more money when you have to replace the dead cat.

last time i got one my transmission died, some random final drive error came up a few days after that and i knew she was a gonner and id have to pay alot to fix it, i was so sad.

everything is fixed now havent had a cel for yrs

>ignition problem
I already took it to the mechanic and the retard changed the sensor and charged me like 200 bucks and then the cel came back off so i got pissed and jsut said fuck it.

ALso what does an ignition systm consist of and where should i look at for fixing it?

upstream is pre-cat

...

>engine dies at the red light
>no "chek ur engine" light is on
>had to get out of the car and push it to the nearest parkland

and then what? push start it?

I'm used to seeing red oil lamp blinking (with beeping) every few hundred meters so I'd be happy to have another color of illumination on. It's a VW btw.

Mfw car trouble in general.

"The light" came on for me as I drove on a ferry before a 1500 mile trip lmao
so I drove 1.5k miles with "the light" on

that is a cute cat

I know what the code is but I can't take myself to fix it. Been riding with it for several months

>tfw it comes on and off at random times for a day or a couple of weeks due to something you don't completely understand what's causing it.

I replaced the O2 sensor, but it still shows it's slowly responding.

...

Always comes on around when I need an emissions test.
Btw fuck emission tests.

...

>Drive a GM product
>Probably just an O2 sensor

>doesn't tighten to click on gas cap
>has to stare at a fucking engine light

>mfw the light turns off

...

Check your sensor wiring mang, check your grounds too on the harness.

>who the fuck added a MIL to my pre OBD I car?

>Have a really good garage set up
>Takes 2 different kinds of screwdrivers just to change the rear lights

Was 99 some weird year for Honda? Like did they purposefully make a car fucking god awful to repair?

The engineers just hate you.

>check engine light comes on
>goes out after a few days
>comes back on a week later
>isn't on next time I'm back in car
>comes back on two days later
>stays off for a few days
>next time it's on its for a month straight
>turned off the other night

???

VAG excessive oil burning master fucking race
>tfw needing oil changes on synthetic after 3,000 miles on my A4
>fixed my leaking valve covers and still happens

98-99 is right about when Honda realized they could ride on their reputation and not put in effort

b-but the car was designed in 97.

Actually i guess there was an update to the engine in 98, for the 99 model.

>tfw no vtec

Anyway, i abuse the shit out of the car, but take care of it, replace shit ASAP, do fluid changes way earlier than expected, drain ATF every year and flush the system, but i honestly have to say that Honda reliability is a meme.

the worst is when its flashing ...
happened to my car once for some reason when i accelerated to merge
didnt even sound like it was misfiring

...

mfw it goes back off

>VAG excessive oil burning master fucking race
How big consumption is it?
It used to be 2.1 l / 1000 km but it's already fixed; it's something else causing constant oil lamp.

>mfw

>something hit the underside of a car
>oil pressure alarm light and sound comes on

...

Definitely my face because I just replaced the PCM

>check fault code
>it's some lambda probe bullshit
>clear fault codes before going to inspection
>car passes flawlessly, emissions are perfect
>check engine light comes on on the way home
