I usually just look at houses other people built in google image search and get my inspiration that way

so far i've been getting a theme and then making a house according to that theme

first one was a sim version of me and a friend so it's a modified crick cabana, second one was two russians called Unstoppable Forcevich and Immovable Objectovsky so i built them the shittiest commyblock i could come up with - drow sisters living in a small house together gave me the idea of "fantasy-medieval, but with a modern twist", and last thing i did was this house i shared last thread made for an "orcs living a 50s americana lifestyle" household so i just googled a 50s house map and copied it the best i could, notice how i had to make some modifications anyways

i'm not a good builder either, but i really like my results

room by room is pretty good - i made this one with that mindset and it turned out pretty fine, specially if you have a hard time thinking the whole thing from scratch, but making a completely empty exterior and then going in and dividing as shit comes up is also pretty good

This is the most attached I've been to a family in a while, I hope it'll last me until the expansion comes out.

A few patches ago all my sims started spawning outside their lot rather than wherever i left them, is there any fix to this?

Apartments are supposed to be in this ep according to the leaks. I just really hope it's TS2 style apartments with TS3 city aesthetics, that'll be so cool damn it.

My only experience of apartments was TS3.

Apartment life came out right at the end of TS2 so I never got a chance to try it.

How did they differ?

Not that user but if I recall correctly apartments were kind of like condos in ts2? there'd be a little area next to it or in between to hang out with your neighbors. You'd pay rent instead of kinda buying it like ts3. I hope they don't bring the landlady back though, she was annoying.

If they do bring rent I hope they also allow you to like "purchase" some too.

Owning a luxury penthouse was quite fun.

Apartment life was by far my favorite expansion. You basically live in one big house and you see your neighbors come and go. Their sections of the house are blacked out until you go knock on their door and then suddenly their part of the house is opened up temporarily. When you have a really huge apartment, it felt incredibly fun to have this setup. In TS3, we just had one basic room hundreds of feet in the air and any other "occupants" went into a fake door rabbit hole. I was so dissapointed with that.

I usually am super drawn to any expansions that expand on the slice-of-life aspect of the Sims. The only exception to that would be World Adventures, christ I loved that expansion.

Yeah, I really liked Free time for the slice of life stuff in it.

TS3 I'm between Late Night, Island Paradise, and Generations.

Didn't play much of WA though because my computer wasn't the best. And it's TS3... kek

Slice of life and family type expansions are always my favorite. Freetime, apartment life, generations, island paradise (for the comfy cruises) are the best. But I also love that YA life from late night, into the future etc. since those were the most interesting.

Nothing will top Makin Magic though... TS4 could... if they actually tried. Made a whole new magic world, bunch of spells and wizard duels. fu ck.

I really didn't want this expansion right now, with weather still missing, but it looks really cool.

I love city expansions. My Sims would live in Bridgeport pretty much every chance they got, I put skyscrapers all over Pleasantview in TS2, and I must've spent more time Downtown in TS1 than any other place.

I've also been -slowly- buying legit copies of TS4 packs for as cheap as humanly possible (the length between cracks just isn't worth it, considering how much I actually enjoy this game), so I'll probably have an up-to-date legit game by the time this pack hits.

For me, cities in the sims remind me of the urbz.

No.

Yes, IF you turn off origin while you play. Like keep it closed or put it in offline mode. If it's online while you play Origin will notice that you don't actually own the expansions you're using and they just won't show up.
