Best way to use them is in a party grinding. Due to modifiers they actually give closer to 190% exp than the actual +300% they claim. At best they'll take the 30-40 hours you have to grind down to something like 15-20. Provided you're willing to pay about $7 for every hour you grind.
Use them if you got them for free, but those 8x exp tomes are so shit it's cheaper to pay some chink to power level for you than it is to buy them.
