He admits any of those spells could have killed him, his magic resistance didn't really provide shit protecting since her magic even carelessly is equivalent to A rank spells. The reason he survived is due to Kansho and Bakuya which he used to repel the attacks. Since its stated in the bios that Kansho and Bakuya provide anti-magic properties. He was surviving by a hair each attack, but he was skilled enough to make it work.
