The class is fatally flawed.

I've played mage throughout most expansions and this is by far the absolute worst one atm.

It seems to get better with gear, but as a baseline we're awful shitters out of the box compared to literally every other class/spec.

Massive numbers issues on top of a mechanical issue.
See, we're tuned to be "equal" on patchwerk fights to melee and more mobile DPS classes but there isn't a single fucking patchwerk this expansion so far so in reality we're just subpar shitters and that's not cool.

With current mechanics mages (and the other casters who get gimped by movement and stuff) should have the potential to do at least double their current DPS on patchwerk fights to compensate for all the movement necessary this time around.

If a melee can train a boss for 200K DPS, and a mage can only turret cast 200K dps, any movement clearly shoves the mage down on the meters without affecting the melee and that's simply not cool.
