Hello

I posted
in the last thread

I will go on to say that a lot of guys on advrider have said that the bigger bikes like the 650 dual sports and bigger adventure bikes aren't as likely to get stolen in Mexico as the smaller 250 - 300 dual sports are. There aren't as many 650+ bikes there so they tend to stand out and are harder to steal and sell inconspicuously, and many people don't want to buy one knowing that it's stolen because they don't want to stand out on a stolen bike.

fuck you tom

>Muh torx

That bike has laughable torque. 4 valve vtwins beat it.

Whats it like to have post purchase rationalization?

why is /dbt/ the most fun thread on Veeky Forums

it's not fair to the rest of us

@15464743 that was rude

Because of the shitposting and making fun of the 2valve ducati.

cuz baikus are more fun that cars

bikes are the most fun vehicle

Get a bike faggot

Whats it like to not have a bike?

>90ft/lb is laughable

kk lol thats the the two newest generations of hypers make LESS torque even with brand new liquid cooled 4 valve motors
This is a fun thing, I only post to cause butthurt anymore.

Is that a Tourmaster jacket?

naw its fly racing

k bai

should i?

Because even the fanboy shitslinging is on topic and varied enough to be tolerable.

>90ft/lb
a / indicates division or a comparison. 90 ft/b would mean 90 feet per pound. The unit is foot pounds. It's different.

You could have typed it as ft.lb, ft-lb, ft*lb, ft•lb, or a number of other different ways that wouldn't make it seem like a different unit

Yes. Shame it was in the case :(

I'm actually leaving though lol later dewdz

What's a good inline fuel filter? Realized my shitbike doesn't have one.

And yet it runs fine... Perhaps it doesn't need one?

funny you mention that, I'm cleaning the carb on it tomorrow because it runs like crap

Every manual I read has it listed as ft-lb or similar. Same with every time I see the unit used in context of math/science/physics.

Just get a few of those clear plastic ones they sell at the dealer for like $2 a piece.

come watch the racing this weekend out past Fort Worth! $5 to get in Sunday if you're on a bike

Why can't we park our bikes at bicycle racks again? It would free up parking spaces for cars and keep our bikes from getting hit by people who don't see them when they try to park.

that was 2 years ago in June of 2014 so it was 1.375 / yr

Nope, East TX. That particular area had shit loads of dairy farms back 30-40 years ago before new EPA rules made it unfeasible to have dairy farms in an area that receives that much rain.

And yet I understand everything you just wrote

das wy erryone shud rite like dis all the time,

Don't you have a bike to pretend to own?

day go a pritend tohunnid mile hours

I always change the filter every time I change the oil. Haven't done an oil change on my bike yet because I just got it in April, Hanes manual recommends every 5k miles but that seems kinda high for a 600 supersport.

1000-1500 miles
Castrol 10w40 PowerRS 4T Racing
Replace Filter w/Kawasaki OEM Filter every oil change

Low oil capacity (1.4qts) + tons of city riding with short distances, and if not I'm on the highway holding 7000-9000rpms (Redlines at 10.5k) in 6th Gear. Oil comes out coal black.

KLX250

I asked a chemical engineer in my grad school about how often I should change my oil. His opinion was 3k to 4k in a bike is about as far as you'd want to go. Most oils are designed for engines reving at 4 or 5k at the most, and bikes can get up to 10k easy. Makes sense to me so I change mine at 2500 miles.

>Replace Filter w/Kawasaki OEM Filter every oil change

why are you using an OEM filter? Why not aftermarket?

New honda needs 1100cc to produce same result as old hondas' 750cc.

The revs dont really matter. Its the transmission that fucks the oil.

The K&N for it is Made in India, while the OEM one is stamped Made in Japan and costs $2-3 more. I'm autistic too so I replace the drain plug washer every oil change ($3, its a weird size that I can't find on McMaster Carr/Grainger).

Kawasaki says the oil's supposed to be changed every 7500 miles but that just seems ridiculous with how nasty it looks after 1000 miles.

>new CBR1000 faster than the old CBR1100 Super Blackbird
>also more comfortable, reliable, rideable
>better cornering, brakes, and every aspect of performance is better

I want CTA to cum on me IRL

@15465060
Sorry about that guys that isn't me I've been hacked.

I want all the cocks

@15465072
This isn't funny I just came here to get motorcycle advice

@15465079
Stop pretending to be me.

@15465094
This is ridiculous.
Anyways, which do you guys think would be a better starting bike? A Harley Davidson Road King or an 883 Sportster? I feel like the road king is safer but the Sportster is just pire sexy. Any opinions?

@15465094
How about you stop pretending to be me then

>Kawasaki says the oil's supposed to be changed every 7500 miles but that just seems ridiculous with how nasty it looks after 1000 miles.

Seems like it is that way on every modern car too.
>hurr run your conventional oil out to 7k miles, it will be fine
Or my personal favorite
>the manual says change the oil every 15k miles

I keep getting the feeling these are the absolute maximum ends of how far you can go before problems start.

CC81pt y u selling ur adv van on advrider tho?
>it looks so good in photos.

Sorry guys, forgot my name on my last post (15465102)

@15465102
Sportster 1200

Modern oil is perfectly fine for the recommened intervals.

Hi Kyle, thanks for the reply.
I was considering the 883 because I don't want anything too fast. It's my first bike, I'm only really getting it so I can ride with my son (he has an r6) so speed isn't really a concern.

Cocks are like pokemon, gotta catch them all.

Straight traded my $2500 Ironhead Sportster for a $5000 Triumph Daytona.

It may be an ergonomic nightmare but eventually I'll be able to afford a nice old chopper with and Shovelhead motor.

The Daytona is fun but is not practical at all. God damn it has some balls. Anyone have a Daytona? Tips on sportbikes? How to do wheelies?

Does anyone have a service manual for a 2004 kawasaki EX250F?

I do, you can get a pdf of it off google if you look around, I think it is actually for an 07 but still the same.

Yes I was just about to link the guy one. faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Service_Manual

lol that site, saved my ass so many times.

>faq.ninja250.org/wiki/Service_Manual
But there is no manual there
