basically the SMT online community is small and fragmented enough that something as relatively small as a Veeky Forums general is enough to be the most active forum for it around. everything else is either a small subreddit that mostly talks about persona still or on a traditional forum where it gets 1 post a week. /smtg/ has basically devolved into "every game but SJ is shit, Nocturne is acceptable only as an entry level game" and every other forum has that exact same mindset now too, they even reuse the same shitposts /smtg/ had around 2013-2014
