Which new econobox has the best manual transmission?

the focus ST and fiesta ST have pretty good manual transmissions.

fiat 500. it is absolutely tits to drive
>civic
>manual
only the basest of the base models has stick

None. Why buy a new shitbox when you could get a good one for 3k with all the necessary features.

AE92 Corolla
Civics are all molested

not only is it a great driver's car, but since i've had it I have averaged 36mpg across the board, and that's with a lot of commuting in traffic and short in-the-city driving. on the highway at 55mph it gets 50+mpg, and will usually get right at 40mpg even at 75-80mph.

fuck me I had a whole other thing posted about the mazda 3.

the gist:

I own a 2014 mazda 3 and am in love with how snappythe transmission is and how rev-happy the engine is. i encourage you to drive one for yourself.

the engine and trans are mated perfectly, rev-matching is a breeze, the steering is light and responsive, handling is phenomenal, and the traction control lets you slip a bit before it reigns you back in, so it doesn't neuter your driving at all.

all around, great car. i adore mine

Shitty angry modern car design

you know, it's funny, but when I'm driving the car and enjoying the only thing that matters with a car, I really don't see the front of the car!

and besides that, we're talking about transmissions not front fascias, you fucking shitstain

not really
you sound like an angry, jealous bus rider

I think the Lancer's 5spd is pretty solid

Not Honda good but quite good

Nah man. I drive a happyish car.

Protip: nobody gives a flying fuck. Car faces isn't the thread topic

>blow up all the time and eat clutches
>good
Kek

dx, lx & ex have manual and the top Si trim is exclusively manual you stupid cunt

Those are the automatics dipshit

Nope

[citation needed]

He's talking about the newest, 10th generation civic, dipshit.

>Veeky Forums
>staying on topic

Fuck off newfag

You dont know how to use a search engine?
Theres even a 9 page thread on the ST forums about manual issues.
Not to mention tons of search results.

No joke I love how the shifter feels in the new golf/gti.

>$3k
>good
Runs and drives does not equal good

Yes but are you happy driving the car? I'm gonna guess no because it's some 12 year old shitbox

>ST
>Econobox
Get off your high horse.

That's the focus, not the focus ST. Those complaints are about the garbage DCT it has

...

>it's older, so it sucks
It's the other way around m8

Complaints in the ST forum specifically saying they are driving an ST arent about the ST
Ok faggot

Might be suspicious of me to say but the gearbox on my car is bretty gud.
It's notchy, light as fuck and relatively short throw for OEM linkage.
You can literally change gears with one finger.

get the 2.5L tho, the 2.0 is a bit lackluster

Anyone drive a stick shift Chevy Cruze? I'm pretty sure that's a thing.

I do, actually. 2016 Cruze LT Manual.

ama

>consumeraffairs

The autist in me hates that it doesn't have a proper dead pedal

Stop being so fucking useless

you're the one that brought it up

And youre the one that didnt believe me.
So stop expecting to be spoon fed like an infant you useless sack of shit

I like my trans.

Besides 3rd, 3rd is a bitch.

if you had the links why didn't you just post them in the first place?

How does it feel up your ass

Do you have the 2.0 or 2.5?

1st and 2nd gen Honda Fits have great shift feel. I haven't driven the newer ones.

i have the 2.0
it's not fast by any means, but it's still a very nice engine with decent power and unbelievable gas mileage for a non-hybrid

Can confirm
