does that bike look very similar to the africa twin or is it just me?

p much, like you can take your hands off the bars with the Q3s and the bike isn't trying to go off in either direction, it just goes straight.

I think adventure bikes do generally look like other adventure bikes user.

It's in the same class of large adventure bikes, they all look somewhat similar.

whats the best lams bike dbt?
or is it simply subjective making it an impossible question to answer?

fifth for going to limerock this weekend

Is the throttle response slower with a carb vs fuel injected? I ask because my rev matching/downshift blipping is complete dog shit on my ninja 250 even after having rode it for 2 months now.

i thought HD was around way before that

try this, go find a nice quiet bit of straight road and learn what RPM your bike is doing at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 mph in what ever gear, when you know what RPM it needs to be doing in a lower gear you can rev accordingly instead of guessing.

w2c \dbt\ sticker?

Ninja 500 best of all time

>going to that meme tier track

yes gr8 biek

anyone in northeast ohio going to a trials comp near berlin lake?

how is a track meme tier

Thanks, I'll try that. You're right, I just guess now and it isn't working out very well.

Also, I've noticed sometimes I'll fuck up and the bike will jerk forward when I let the clutch back out after downshifting. I am guessing that I am not letting off the throttle all the way?

>tfw nothing but drag strips anywhere near me

There are a lot of motocross dirt tracks around but no actual paved tracks that are open to the public for hundreds of miles. And I'm too much of a pussy to do that motocross shit.

Maybe he's saying harley davidson made good bikes until 1923, then after that they turned bad.

Don't ask me to explain the brain of an MT memer.

It really (as usual) just comes down to the purposes of the owner.

I wanted a sporty bike with clip ons and such but I was too big for a 90s micro-sportbike. Ergo SV.

If you want to ride around the city making a big noise and post on the internet about how your bike is "da beast" then you want the MT-07 etc.

once you know where it has to be revving it will become second nature in no time and you won't even have a second thought it will just happen when you change gears, just keep working at it m80

Throttle response is going to be slower with Carburated motorcycles. I have had both, and the difference is notable. That being said I drive a 70s motorcycle and I still love it. You just have to learn to ride it. Pic is of BAE

>want to do motocross
>out of shape
>no van or ute
>no secure garage I could keep it in so it couldn't get stolen

Just McFucking end my life

That's not a ninja 500 you faggot

Klr650 good for 300lb+ guy???

do you have chain, a support beam, and a padlock? you can lock it up. and buy an el-shitto 200 dollar trailer from harbor freight. riding will get you in shape

Get a bicycle, fatty

New helmet. Been pining for it quite awhile.just not sure if I did right with the blue polarized. May return for gold.

yes because the bike will be as pigfat as you

I would consider a DL650 if you can too.

rf1200? how do you like it? i'm meaning to get one soon.

Ride enduro.
Yes it is :DD

aint gonna be quick and may need a repsring if you plan on going offroad, but itll do the job.

that's the plan.

Don't even have a car, my sisters car has no tow hook either.

You realise it cost around $15,000 a year to do motocross with a tight budget yeah?

yeah, im 310 and ride one everywhere. just be sure to upgrade the rear shock spring rockymountainatvmc.com/p/1054/46767/Top-Gun-Rear-Shock-Spring?term=klr650 spring

putting that in took me under an hour

fugg, i wish we still had 2 stroke enduros out here that werent ktm

lol wtf is that thing. is that even comfortable to ride?

buy a wr250r and a set of dunlop d606 tires. boom street legal offroading bike

don't get the 606 front its crap, the rear is great though

Nigga im 6ft6in
I will not hesitate to sit on you and fart

its a cafe racer ofcourse its uncomfortable

ktm make the best 2 smoke enduro bikes though.

Can probably find Beta's and Gasgas around you btw, Yamaha still makes the wr250 as well.

I'm not planning on racing.

I just want to pick up a shit 2-3k 250 SX bike of some sort and go for a blast every now and then.

I'm looking at katos too. RMXs come up very cheap and can be pimped with RM250 parts to make something really quick for cheap though.

we have plenty of street legal 2 strokes here and I'm not very interested in 4 stroke maintainance, if I'm gonna be doing it all myself I want it was simple as possible.

Besides 2nd hand wr450s go nearly as cheap as 250s here and they're all road legal

kek
a klr might be pretty cramped for you. take a good look at the xr650L or any of the ktm offerings if you wan to stay close to dualsport roots

Ive ridden MANY cafe bikes. Some with no seat padding. Never been sore or uncomfortable.

cheap sx bikes usually are not worth buying m8, if its worth less than 3 grand its generally fucked and you could spend that getting it fixed.

>tfw my older sister did this to me when I was little
Don't joke about that shit user, it scars you for life.

I was just about to post this. I feel you, user.

they dropped the WR250 2smoke years ago in the US i think its reiteration is the yz250fx and i heard theres plans on a 300

just be aware that MX bikes have MX gearboxes that were designed for a track, not road and trail use, they tend to be very close ratios with a tall 1st and short 5th.
my yz400f was almost too fast for mountain trails but would only cruise about 40mph at 6500-7krpm

That's my fetish.

is that because you ride them 5 minutes up the road and back?

nah nah, keeping the RMX gearbox, then you put the RM250 head and power valves on and you get a bit more go.

Here they were called YZ250WRs and they still come up on gumtree and bikesales every now and then.

Did you then hit puberty, grow to twice her size and torment her at every opportunity? Cause I know I did.

Nah. 100 mile rides easy.

the yz250fx is a 4 stroke and you can't road register them, it's basically the MX bike with the enduro gear box, good bike though one of if not the best 250 thumper i have ever ridden.

>160 km

My average twisties run is like 80 km longer than that dawg come on.

That's like an hour and a half.

here's what they look like

Look at what I found at work today guys

I'm still not entirely sure what it's supposed to be

yeah, aus got some of the better enduros that never really stuck or even made it here in the US
one of my dads friends still has an original WR250 2T but he wont let me buy it.

i like the rm/z mixing. i did that on my YZ, gave it all the perks of the WR and kept all the punch and power and lightweight of the YZ

my bad i meant yz250x
not sure about where you are but i can slap some lights and a mirror on it and get plates no problem.

fucking disgusting
looks like a sick slug

why is trials riding so fround upon in the states?

...

because white people are usually found innocent

Bought a Corbin for my fz09. Stock seat feels like a plank covered with cotton balls

Thinking about buying my first bike, never rode a bike. Drove a moped a bit as a teen. That is the extent of my experience. Im thinking of buying used, dont want to buy something too big, but also dont want to buy something i will want to replace in a few months. Any recommendations/advise?

But can it Counter-steer?

worse than a GS500. Only thing better is it has a slightly more powerful engine.

your joke is bad and you should feel bad
nina 500

dualsport 250-650cc

Rode something like that before, didn't much like it. Any others?

I'm 90% certain the rider is either black or Mexican.

what kind of earplugs do you guys use?

quads confirm, my joke a shit

3m 1100

Nice stale as fuck repost

That's a 30k+ bike. Only white people can afford that shit

Does /dbt/ chase their wheelies or do you guys keep it above the balance point?

these things are fucking god tier, better than even 3M stuff

walmart.com/ip/Flents-Quiet-Time-Comfort-Foam-Ear-Plugs-40-pr/34729649

saved my from wicked headaches induced by windnoise

Ones that block out sound

Americans are too fat to do technical riding.

None

You are implying that we can even wheelie

no, black guys invest in expensive but worthless vehicles instead of worth while things like food, or their kids

im a pussy so i chase wheelies and not very far
sounds about right

chaser

Not ideal, but at least I haven't looped yet

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's racist man, go for a ride, you'll feel better user

I don't

The stock seat is terrible but no amount of discomfort would make me do that to my bike. It's like someone pulled the cover off, stuffed a pillow in there, and then sowed it back up.

[front cylinder starving of oil intensifies]

none, theyre illegal to ride with in ohio.

i chase them for now. too cheap to try and balance them yet

i looped my lawnmower once. i figured out that if i max everything out it will lift the front ned then i started adding body weight and things led to things and i was flat on my back with a lawn mower coming for me

I've only ever looped my RT100, first bike I had with a clutch.

>land of the free

Typically at or past balance point

what the fuck- does the ohio legislature love hearing damage?

Is Ohio one of the states where the legislator helped repeal the mandatory helmet law and then died in a motorcycle crash recently?

>Brat
Weeb

This is probably a good excuse to repost my stale wheelie webms

Fixing up a bike that's been sitting around a long time. Got it started and running, which is neat. Got the wasp nest out too.

But how much rust is too much rust on a chain? Can it always be scrubbed off with enough elbow grease and diesel? How much does a new chain cost to have installed? (I don't have a chain breaker/riveter)

>fixing up a bike
>too cheap / lacks tools to replace chain

This will end badly.

So the correct solution is getting a breaker and riveter for ~$50-100? I'm not against getting one, but given this is probably going to be a rare thing I was just curious if it would be less than the cost of the tools to get a chain installed.

chasers normally, im not confident at the balance point but i can save the bike from falling over 9 times out of 10.

If you can bend the chain its too rusty, you only need a grinder to get it off, if not grinder cut it off with a hacksaw.
if no hacksaw have fun filing it off.

Good god b/o/ys please approve my materialistic attempt to be "cool" and a "special snowflake"
