Shepard's parents and other possible family members got raped to death by BTs, all his closest pre-ME1 friends were killed in a Thresher Maw attack, Tali's mom died in a ship accident, her dad got killed by geth, and all her closest quarian friends died on Haestrom (except Reegar, who died on Palaven). Neither seemed to have siblings.

I don't think either has anyone left of importance to introduce the other to, especially not family.

Because no one at Bioware has any experience in the real world, so they just saw what "badass" characters did in on TV and assumed that's how it worked.

Shepard didn't age in the two years he was dead, so Ash should be 2 years younger and Miranda 6 years older.

those are most likely their most profitable branches. in taking over Bioware it means it wasn't profitable and/or well led at all. in successful corporate leadership theory you put the guy/gal who made a branch successful into a branch that isn't profitable at all to make it profitable instead of just letting him/her make the original branch even more profitable.

tldr: new successful leadership coming to a shitty branch to make it successful and profitable.

wow, Kaiden was really just meant for a Femshep run then. He doesnt appaer gay but also isnt so flirty if you locked Liara. But you are right about his aphatic behaviour but that was kinda implemented already witht he hospital talks and the meeting at apollos, maybe some kind of PTSD idk. He isnt such a sad sob in the Citadel DLC tho.

Do you think I should move a lot of that dialogue to be from Anderson, or should I remove it entirely? I'm trying to flesh Shepard out a little bit more, but I don't want to force a ton of it down your throat at once

Give some to Anderson, maybe saving some for some later part if you find a place for it. Have Nihlus agree with Anderson's estimation, perhaps expanding a little from his/the turians' perspective.

so this play through ME 2 I decided to use gibbed to give me Legion right after the first mission. he occasionally has stuff to say, surprised they let all this VA go to waste.

Yeah, a lot of stuff got cut and reshuffled. ME2 had a troubled development.

I hate that you cant force AA in ME2 without the game running like total shit. is that with the HR texture pack?

this is just vanilla, modding ME2 doesn't seem worth it to me.

the texture quality improves alot since they look really blurry in vanilla.

yes it is, I just let the pc run over night and install the textures in big bundles. but for ME2 its actually worth it.

how long could it possibly take though? I mean I've done texturemodding with skyrim and fallout but that isn't on the same level as the whole game...
