Aggressive grab and throw them right after you bump the lock. Let it close, then quickly pass through and close it. Good airlock discipline solves most of the issue. You can also just keep toggling it while they're out of the way until it equalizes. You can do it right now. Make yourself a pastebin of guides to fix telcomms, do basic repairs, to use rods from broken grilles and pry up surviving floor tiles to plate a breach over, repipe, getting sacid and soldering iron emagged shit or basic circs, rewire, sci to make posi's, botany/research botany to cryox dupe a whole lab of nympths that can grow and rebuild, make pAI's, shove borer eggs in a room with some stolen plasma, fix or build apc's, salvage and setup gas miners, minimizing repair time by glassing off 99% of the breach and rebuilding dept in surviving large rooms, getting boards and parts/flatpacks, even just setting up cloning from the tech storage spares. the most important role in webuild is making sure people know what's being done, who's actually doing what, and making sure they get the supplies they need. Anyone can slap metal on a breach but only you can tell them to glass it off to save 30 minutes, make sure they actually get circuits to start cloning, and get someone slapping posis and nymphs together to get gibbed people back in the round.

Go build comms platforms in space, salvage parts and get teleporter boards once research is done and set the destination to the telcommsat or tsci/weld into somewhere and stash a telebeacon so you can hand tele validhunters into gay baby jail. Go blow some stun revolvers or cargo tasers. Congrats, you can now recall indefinitely. t.CE of a 7 hour fuck your bitch nigger shit WEBUILD you fucking pussies.

Engineering is a fun department but with how easy it is to set up the power and then mess around with atmospherics just enough to make it a bit better I always end up without anything to do by 12:40.
Then either the entire station gets bombed to shit and I'm on my own so I can't reasonably fix it quick enough or I'm too bored to fix it. Last round I ended up becoming a junior detective and ended up being promoted to HoS, although that didn't achieve much but like, what can I do?

Make canister bombs, firebombs, one-tank bombs, flamethrowers, sleep bombs, tranfer tank valve bombs, extended emergency oxygen tank bombs, welderbombs, floor tile disposal cannon,Atmos/CE piercing grade burn bags of firebombs, fill a canister with ~180,000 mol of 20C air for repressurizing entire depts from one can, make a 1GW SME, make a 1GW TEG, go rewire depts and build a new/move solars smes to route the depts power supply through that substation, put an ass ton of filters on distro, Master your Stand 「Ride the Lightning, learn to use the shield generators to shield the singulo bay, SME bay, or TEG burn chamber and coolant loop during a meteor storm. Make sure you can disassemble APC's, build APC's, air alarms, and airlocks with correct access req. Know how to salvage parts for and make a teleporter. Work on your telesci so you can just shove a telebeacon in a fridge or camera coord hand tele/telesci so you can TTV, firebomb, and/or canister bomb the everloving shit out of spider/xenos/blobs repeatedly then teleport in with a bag of AEG's and flamethrowers to finish the job. Get practice begging for nocap from the admins with +fun and +server using the secrets verb to toggle bombcap up to 32 dev

Best sharding I've seen is a dude lubed primary hallway left of medbay and stuck the shard where the vending machine usually is, turned the light off near it and hid in the corner, anyone who got slipped he grabbed them and chucked them into the shard and retreated into his corner, it was brilliant.

Unwrench the pipe caps, put a vol pump, manifold and digivalve so you can just passive vent the line empty. I don't think you have a socket wrench up there so if you change your mind on something you gotta empty it or move a vent to hook the new bit into it.
Then just go pipe and vent it as usual. There's air circs in the vendor and you can print or soldering iron more once you build a chem disp.

Let's agree on one thing. People who don't know atmos and who harass atmos techs for using plasma should be kicked out of pipe heaven.
