THis one is from the day it released and is 52/48, I'd say that's roughly equal.

People don't want Magnums in BTB because everyone in that playlist is trying to stat, and the BR gets them the easiest kills.

There are three linked waypoint polls that are after BTB release.
One is one page and favors magnum, one is one page favors br.
The third is 5 pages from day of release and poll options were BR vs AR not magnum. And even then it's only a 52 vs 48 difference. That's like three people.

I think the original statement of it being at least 50/50 split is valid.

There were two post-launch, but one was only one page thread and it there was another thread that favored magnum so I think of them as cancelling out. Leaving just the 52 to 48 poll which was from release day.
