If you did that in Ranked, I'd be the first to switch to a Hero that we actually need. Once my team instalocks 4 damage Heroes and refuse to switch I (1) Kindly ask them to switch. (2) Point out we could use a better comp (3) Kindly ask them to switch, but inform them Im willing to work even with 3 dmg/1 heal/2 tank. (4) If this fails, aggressively ask them to switch

If Steps 1 - 4 fail, I announce in all chat that my team has really shitty comp, have four damage Heroes and this should be an easy match. I get called an asshole / reported / harassed for doing this, but it works almost everytime people don't want to switch in ranked

I frankly can't understand all this discussion on mains/roles. I'm a decent player so far, I'm at level 23 and I can only play QP until I reach level 25, but I'd like to learn to play all heroes. I mostly end up choosing the hero the system randomly gives me before the match.
