know what i've noticed? nobody wins in sf5 with traditional footsies, not even on the top level most of the time. the only way people get in is with jumps or dashes. people use their medium buttons during the neutral to catch someone dashing or to perhaps maybe get a small counterpoke sometimes which doesnt convert to anything, but nobody gets in just with buttons and spacing, its always a jump or a dash
