so based on my cursory glance at the advancement page I'm stumped, how do you unlock the khorne icon/upgrade path? It doesnt seem like any of the trees feed into it

The way advancement works is based on two factors: faction rank and advancement points. Each node costs a set number of points to unlock. But you also have to be the right rank to unlock higher tier nodes. If you notice there is a series of circles around the nodes. Starting from the center each circle out required another rank to unlock.

What are you on about? There are four chaos legions to choose from. As far as selecting a god that's done through the advancement in game and each one delivers different buffs/debuffs.

well the updates are talking about 'veteran' classes that you get throughout the course of matches but those will probably be like sergeants/captains of the warbands/chapters in the game rather than actual specific characters
they need to add world eaters/death guard/ thousand sons/emperor's children for the people who aren't wishy-washy cowards
