Hey guys i cant afford a gaming pc or a wheel so is this game worth playing in the mean time until i can get a proper setup that can run automobilista and raceroom racing experience?

Yeah, from what I've heard it's quite fun.

it is fun

the only reason i got out (after getting to the top levels) is because when you get into the really high ranks you have to spend money and you need a gyroscope)

otherwise, it's a good way to spend some time

just know, that the throttle/brake is on/off, no linear adjustments

it's smartphone game and you shouldn't except anything more from it

other than that, it's fun little smartphone game. Plus career feels really nice, you can play without putting any money in it at all and it's still going to be solid experience, with just enough challenge and no problems like too weak car because you got no money.

and multiplayer is exactly what you would except from smartphone game, that's kinda sad

automobilista minimum requirements are ibm compatible pc and CGA

i dont have a wheel though and my current pc is a dell all in one from best buy that i got 3 years ago that has windows 7 on it

I mostly play AC and Project Cars. Love both games.

But I need some help with the config for the g27 on AC.

In Pcars it feels great, there's plenty of resistance in the steering and I can drive much easier.

In AC however the wheel is just loose, light and way too easy to overturn.

What config are you using that feels right to you?

I can confirm from rFactor 2 and owning a car in real life, that unless you are driving a front wheel drive car with lots of power, the wheel SHOULD be much lighter than the pcars default, except for at parking lot speeds in a car without power steering.

I also own a car in real life. Have for many years.

I still think that AC the default steering feel is not right. I also have not changed any settings for it in the LGS control panel.

Thats right with some nodded stuff, but this is even with regular cars.

Its just the (don't know what its called) Resistance? the wheel offers. At any speed I can turn the wheel with one finger. PCars is just harder to move, so its easier to point the steering wheel where you want.

I'm sure there is some guide for proper wheel setup for AC I need to follow. But I only just got home so I'll take a look at what I can find.

I don't think so. I had pirated version (holy shit this game is amazing) and if i remember correctly, i couldn't even see the servers, not to mention it's probably getting updated a lot so your filthy two weeks old pirated version may be simply too old to join new servers

with wheel rotation set to 690' and centering spring turned off in logitech profiler/default settings in game my G27 feels spot on to my power steering equipped miata in AC (for most cars, not sure if that's a good or bad thing)

Does it? I guess any kind of engine stress will do that. I could reduce FFB power in settings and have just as much work engines have to do as in 26cm wheel, although that would probably feel bad since larger wheel = less ffb felt on hands.

I have to do some research about it. I tried to temporary strap larger wheel with zip ties and FFB was still quite powerful, so i guess i wouldn't mind if i'd have to reduce power a little bit.

Yeah, that's another problem. I can use H-shifter in cars where it's usable, but only thing i'm playing online are GT2 cars and paddles are important there.

Then again, i was able to use DFGT "paddles", so it's not like it wouldn't be possible at all.
