i'm trying to buy some panels for car for patching since it's easier then making from sheet. i messaged some wreckers online (have to travel 2+ hours to get to city and look at there).
so far only one guy messaged bcak, said he has 1 car that is good and relatively rust free. asked him for price for just the middle bit of rear and corner bits and he said 200 dollars, which i thought was ridiculuous just for that...
i thought was bs so messaged back i'd do 80 dollars, to me 80 still sounds pretty high but if it was good condition and not much rust at all i would because i'm a lazy cunt and it'd be a hassle to do it out of sheet metal from scratch... but then he messages back and says 'nah 100'.

i'd probably be cutting about 1/6th of the metal off the car, so if going by that 80 x 6 is 360. would he even get half of that if he sold the metal it has? it's an old car if that makes difference. i also told him i'd pull off all the shit neatly to get to it and cut it off. maybe he just knows i'd pay more because i want it more, when he probably wouldn't get many people trying to buy the same shit anyways
