Rathalos and Seltas queen. I use switchaxe, dual blades, gunlance and charge blade interchangably. If you could give tips on all four
that'd be grand. This is entirely in MH4U for context.

Rathalos is always in the air. I can't keep up with him to cut his tail off. I use flash bombs but because hes in the air for so long I use them very often. The diminishing returns on the stun times really makes it a shit time. Aside from that, getting roared into fireball is really fucking shit, since I don't have evade +1 my sidesteps still get caught if I evade the first few milliseconds of the roar.

Seltas queen is just a big mufuggin hitbox. I can't cover enough ground between attacks and end up eating shit because of it. I can beat her, but its just so fucking long. In terms of general strategy I'm at a bit of a loss. Should I be focusing on her alone or should I kill the drome first instead?

Getting decent weapons in general seems to be hit or miss. Monsters have different weaknesses, so I try to account for that by having a fuckton of weapons. But sometimes a that should be good on paper ends up being total fucking ass because of how sharpness works.

Shagaru Magala is an honest fight but I can't help but struggle with it. With everything but the switchaxe I bounce off of most of its parts.

Is that in Canada? I might pick up MHGen if that's the case.

CB and GL can block roars. What's more, CB can GP them and counter attack. Your priority shouldn't be cutting the tail, it should be killing it. Forget tail carves until you're good enough to actually kill it.It usually lands after one or two attacks, it has a pin it uses, poison claws and the low-orbit flyby, which it lands after. If you can't kill it with DB or Switch Axe then just don't bother bringing them to a Rath hunt until you manage to get HG Earplugs or something. It's weak to Dragon and Electric, so bring them if you got them.

Seltas Queen is pretty simple. Bigger monsters just have bigger hurtboxes. It's weak point is the face which you generally can't reach with DBs and it's weak to fire. If you stay ontop of her real legs she can only hit you with Stench, by falling on you, or possibly with her tail swipe. If you can't dodge Waterblight, negate it with Dash or Mega Dash Juices. Don't bother with the seltas, she'll just summon more.

CB is your best bet for weak of them since you can KO them by hitting them in the face (weak point) w/Impact.

savestates are like quicksaves, you can use them every once in awhile, like before a quest if you want to quick abandon or something, before you test make armor/weapons etc, but always keep an up to date save
