Someone please tell me that in YW2 that they don't make you get to post game to get fusion items for some of the Yokai from 1?

Like the Snowstorm Cloak and stuff.

If they're S ranked they're likely still locked to post-game.
I think Chilhuahua is demoted to A rank (and supposedly available via terror time app playthough) so you might be able to get him before end-game, but it'd still be pretty late in.

whats the story with the second game and getting multiple of the same yokai? i heard you can like use them to strengthen other yokai or something?

excess medals can be broken down into souls/kon equipment that grant stat boosts and other goodies.
In the US they're called soul gems.
Many can be leveled up, but a few combinations make rare soul gems that do even more good stuff. See the bottom of pic related for some combinations of rares

I'm guessing the befriending souls dont stack either.

How could someone get more popular than Abdallah?

By already having an established fanbase?

Or by creating just flat out better content, but that isnt always a guarantee of success either. There's plenty of people who produce shit but still get tons of views and subscribers and plenty of people who put out very polished, informative, and or entertaining content but dont get the recognition warranted.

Part of it is content quantity. Quality takes work and you can't always get out daily vids when you actually care to make them good.

Yeah that's true, quantity is really important too. There's some great youtubers out there who only make a video like every few months or even like once a year. No doubt hurting the fanbase they could have.

YW seems like it would be a pretty content rich series to delve into though. I'd love to see it capitalized on with more videos and other faces for it.

Don't know if you're open to suggestions, but I'd love to see videos on more urban legend based Yokai like Hanako or Manjimutt.

I had Hanako-san in mind to poke fun with how Level 5 is bending over backwards to try to conceal the double-battered Japanese-ness of Yokai Watch 2.

Too bad that every other YouTuber just kisses the dub's ass and accepts everything without change and if you protest, you're just ungrateful/whiny.

That's the only reason I'd want to go see the dub movie; I'd love to see how bad it'll be. "Hey Nate let's go see your grandmother in the totally not rustic japanese village. We can see the rice paddies- I mean water potatoes!"

I think the localizers really want to avoid real names for Yokai, for some reason. Like how Sebastian became Verygoodsir. Trying to hid that YW takes place in Japan is definitely a part of it, though.

It's why I'm undercutting them cleverly by explaining the loss of depth caused by the changes.

The one that drove me nuts was how they changed Onigirizamurai to "Slicenrice" when my fans came up with the much punnier "Samurice".

Onigirizamurai is such a good pun. Also, yeah, I saw a few people suggesting Samurice. Would've been much better.

Anime movies don't generally interfere with the main storyline and therefore often aren't considered canon. I don't know where the Yokai Watch movies fit into that though.

The Yo-kai movies clearly are canon, but I think the Jibanyan part was just a story, or maybe they returned later, idk.

How much rage do you think I'd get if I asked someone to just TYPE out what happens in Abdallah's "tutorial" videos (because he just had to make 2 that lead to the exact same thing) because I don't want to give him views?

I've went and played Yokai Watch after not playing it for some time until now because of the upcoming release of 2. Managed to beat Wobblewok rather easily, probably because I had five S Rank Yokai with Betterfly alongside them being level 99 and having their main methods of attack being maxed out.

I could get most of the Yokai but I don't think I have the patience for that. I'll probably do a playthrough with Katie this time to see any differences between it and use different Yokai in it.

I'm not really the type to self insert anyway. I'd rather be in the world through another character that exists in it. Except for those RPGs where you customize your own character entirely, but even then I never play as myself.

Shotanon here, needing some input for future story ideas. Would suicide be too much for the story, or would you guys be okay with it? I'm milling the idea around of having a character do so, but I'm not too sure if it'll feel right to you guys or not.

Adding suicide could easily make a relatively light-hearted story go down damn fast. I though the way Keita treated Kanchi's after the confrontation was dark as is. Unless you plan on having it be a climax for the story of sorts or end up using it for comedy somehow I say nay, since it kills the flow of the story you got so far.

Thanks for the feedback. It's hard to refute what you're saying without completely giving away what I had in mind. But you're right, I think I'll go with something else, but maybe still keep the plot point I had in mind to go with it. And yeah, suicide is something that's implied to be considered by Yuuto in the second movie.

Just be thankful you can get revenge on the Skelly in the Sky pretty early in YW2.

Age is pretty irrelevant when it comes to shota fiction. It's not rare to age up their mental age and body processes. Having overly realistic characters in a world filled youkai possessing everyone is no fun. You've got to have some creative flexibility.

Yeah but it just sounds like a pretty heavy subject for characters that young. Only time i could see that coming up is when they're throwing a fit or want attention, like running away from home.
