There's a death orb somewhere near the top floor, and a pressure plate near it, close to that cache. It's like a 50/50 for it to open but it's just a free crates in a semi circle. Wondered the same thing yesterday until I found the pressure plate nearby

right you are, it was jsut crates I could scan for and shoot, kind of like the old version of the room which also depended on chance

now I'm not sure where this last mark is, probably behind the closed door on the wrong end of the icey timed hall with little storage rooms on either end, or in the reward room for the parkour course that a pub started without me and neither of us managed to finish... Division has this same issue minus the MR fodder aspect(ie even more useless). You cant really, either all weapons are close to being the same pieces of shit or there are good and bad and some not so shit. we have a slightly less variety for more usability.

create a firm but adaptable structure for players to earn access to weapons (something like junctions or MR or both) in a clear path of ugprades and sidegrades and tiers based on total weapon damage output potential (with some exceptions, of course) and obtain them through a more defined interface than the market that clearly indicates what level and type of weapon it is and what its variants are, what direct upgrades and predecessors it has

of course this would require rebalancing all the weapons into a sane scheme that supported this degree of player progression, and that hinges on the enemy scaling and damage systems, so... nuclear bomb when?

Change mastery for weapons and show it/sort by and show actual rank. Change construction cost based on mastery to suit planets droptables, example would be mr1 weapons could be built off of just earth or Venuses drops, show what planets drop what resource next to resource cost on blueprints.

Exilus type mod slot for weapons, for fire rate, clip size etc. Mods. Blueprints for this slot drop on alerts. Add expensive Syndicate mods (125-130k standing) that can be put on weapons in said new slot, that just adds that Syndicates proc only. Each Syndicate does a different type of weapon for proc, (shotgun, sniper, assault, etc.)

I don't disagree with that, but many weapons are so outclassed that it's not even worth using them beyond mastery. Many of the great weapons aren't even gated by higher mastery rank than shitty weapons. For example:
>Synapse is pretty much completely worse than Amprex
>Amprex requires MR5, Synapse requires MR6
>Amprex only requires fieldron and argon to build, Synapse requires mutagen and 2 forma
>Amprex is lower in the energy lab research tree than Synapse is in the bio lab
>either gun takes 6+ forma to be usable anyway
>no reason to put forth the effort to build synapse unless you just hate crowd control
