>What is this shit? In 2013 /v/ got so butthurt over a Kotaku article, it created 3 whole musical parody albums. This is the 4th edition of that project. Anyone is welcome to sing, write, edit and create artwork. Just keep it vidya.
I tried, expect nothing. I will do literally anything if I like the song.
As always, I one take shit before actually doing it to make sure that the person I'm doing it for WANTS ME TO DO THE THING
Jaxson Clark
I'm not the user working on the song, just thought it deserved the shilling, so not sure when he'll be able to let you know if it's good or not. But It's at least good to know we've got something for that song now.
To clarify what's in the pastebin, all the chorus singers need to do is drop one solid take of the chorus and they're done,
>The Vita, >It makes me angry, >I hate the Vita, I feel-ah rage, >Hate the Vita for its faggot fanbase, >Hate the Vita for having no games,
The lead only has to do the same with an added, "That's the curse of," and then the verses, and I can do the rest from there. I'm going to keep this up because I paid for that instrumental god damn it.
SingingAnon did make a demo for SiIvagunner towards the beginning of the musical but he hasn't come back to it. Someone also said they would try Summer of '09 in the doc but they haven't gotten around to it.
Dominic Gomez
Someone write Juicy but instead of being about making it big and touching the sky it's about staying a basement NEET
Justin Jones
Seeing as one user did "I've got a Little list", here is a demo with the chorus: picosong.com/Th3a/
>blue + black text parts is it then? Yup. I'll add you to the doc

Not bad in theory but there's some definite work on the levels that needs done. Volumes are all over the place.
William Sanchez
I know, but I didn't want to fiddle with that kind of thing too much in case I might do more bad than good. That kind of problem is why there are people editing songs anyway.

Dark Souls 3 confirmed NEVER EVER

>have corn allergy >live in the US >fucks with my lung capacity >in order to sing with full lung capacity I basically need to fast for 24 hours fucking subsidies
Parker Ward
You'll make me cry eventually, you know that right?
Anyone know if bg is around? I need him to re record "Vidya we love" without the backing track so I can add it to the project file.
Also, did anyone ever finish lyrics for "Hardware Store"?
Parker Williams
It took you guys 3 attempts but there's now an actually good Billy Joel parody in the spread sheet. Good work.
Brandon Howard
>did anyone ever finish lyrics for "Hardware Store"? If it's not in the spreadsheet then it probably wasn't finished

What's the progress on the DHMIS video?

Since no instrumental of Brains-Voltaire was found (the only one i know of requires ripping from the season 1 DVD of billy and mandy), i wrote (and sung, but i ain't that good and my mic is shit) another song. This one is a bit less /v/ related and more about Veeky Forums as a whole, but it seemed to eb the more fitting theme for the song itself.
>The boards of Veeky Forums (The Bells of Notre Dame) Lyrics pad.riseup.net/p/The_Boards_of_Veeky Forums Feel free to add suggestions about the text and how it can flow better/make more sense, the second half of the song was quite hard to make coherent to the story. >Shitty singing to give you an idea of how it flows in song form picosong.com/Th8C Again, it's just to give you an idea, i know the quality is utter shit, not to mention i fucked up the timing on a couple of lines and missed another couple as well. Feel free to sing it yourself, i'd be very pleased to hear better singanons give this a go.
I was going to do a song but I procrastinated on it too much and I'm shit at lyrics so I'm just gonna post what I had in case anyone else has some inspiration for it.
Sound Of When? (This Is The Vidya Board) - Sounds Of Then (This Is Australia)
In case I didn't make it clear, THOSE LYRICS ARE UNFINISHED BUT I'M A DUM DUM RETARD SO I'M JUST DROPPING THE IDEA FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO DO BETTER IF THEY WANT.

>A Metroid Prime >A New Metroid Game These need to get done.

What's wrong with the line? I thought it fit well, same rhyming scheme as the original

Black Velvetopia and I have in secret been working together for a bit, and we're going to get a Teaching Feelings parody done soon to accompany the equally inappropriate song, the Reit Stuff.
How Do You Be Happy? (A Teaching Feelings parody of Don't Worry Be Happy).
(Current) Lyrics: pastebin.com/i0hH2YfG Adapted Instrumental: picosong.com/ThNE/ There's a huge pause in the instrumental that's going to be filled with in game music for Sylvie's speech
BV said he'd take the lead, so I'm sure he'll get that taken care of soon, but we still need a female to do a child voiced reading for Sylvie Roco seemed interested, but I never got a yes or no from her, so...maybe?
You don't need to sing, or make lewd noises, and the less emotion you put into your reading, the better. You just need to be able to read competently.

IN OTHER NEWS
I still need some lead vocals to complete The Reit Stuff. It's already half done, so come on /v/. I know at least one of you have it in you to finish it.
At the Arcade still needs at least one other voice to take one of the three parts. It might be a bit tough, but it seems like it'd make a really good song if it got some help. I remember there being isolated voice lines for each part originally, but I can't find them in the archives
Biggest Fags in Town also needs some people for the roll call. Maybe I'll add myself to help with the cause, buuut I'm pretty new. I'd feel a little weird about it.

What would John Romero do is done but no one will fucking compile it with the actual carmack voice instead of El Pato
Jack Kelly
They nearly rhymed, though, which is a common tactic in verse that requires a specific story (thus are lyrically limited) or which necessitate many rhymes. By singing them in a specific way the illusion of rhyming can be achieved, as in the original.
Isaiah Martin
Well, the voice definitely wouldn't be a bad fit, rhythm needs work though because there are parts that are just not there or completely messed up. I understand though. It was a quick sing-through, and The Right Stuff has some weird rhythms hear and there. I wouldn't expect someone to just have it from the get go, but it was a nice effort.
That'd be great. The rhythm might be a bit tough, but a couple of listens should help just fine. It's for the most part, a syllable by syllable remake.
Spooky.
Isaac Long
I got some gay rap shit no-one wanted or asked for nearly done.
Jackson Turner
Yeah, I guess, but I never really picked up on that in the original since it was 'pot' and 'up' and they never really clicked as a rhyme attempt to me. I'll see if I can find something better for that part.
Ryder Jackson
Not really familiar with the game but based on the context eat and meat would be the obvious choices.
Leo Allen
OH, I found those Isolated voices BV left.
I'll just repost the original junk here.
____________
At the Arcade, an At the Ballet Parody for the whole 2 people who actually listened to A Chorus Line.
This is a very big song with 3 different voices and an intertwining section near the end, and I just can't do this alone because of it. If I did, it'd get too samey, so if I could at least get 1 user to take 1 of the parts (male or female, doesn't matter) I can make this work. Preferably I'd want 2, but I'm not getting my hopes up, because that's how never evers happen.
Sounds great mate, make sure to add them to the spreadsheet
Ian Miller
The whole thing's full of near rhymes but they all work pretty well. I hope some singers go for it.

I posted in the previous thread looking for feedback, but got no responses. What changes do I need to make? If another user wants to try editing, I can upload the audacity project file with the tracks separated.
Well, either you're too dumb to see sexism in vidya you do not wish to acknowledge Or you are not aware of the amount of misogyny brought By the prevalence of vidya games in the community. It's problematic, Journo, right here, I say, it's problematic in Vidya City
Why sure I'm a vidya player, Certainly quite ashamed to say I'm always quite ashamed to say it I consider that the hours I spend With controller in my hands as woeful Can be educational and coordinate your hand and eye Always take and try to not to let anyone but yourself get kills the entire match But just as I say, It takes intellect, morality, and feminism to play In an FPS game, I say that all male gamers talk shit to their enemy team And I call that "skill" The first big step on the road To the depths of muh-soggy-nay
I say, first, harassin' women playin' online Then beating women for fun An' the next thing ya know, Your then playin' games for money at a big tourney And listenin' to some bald, British bastard That tells them the wonders of PC gaming Not content with console gaming, no! But gaming where you can make your game better with mods! Would Like to see some sexist neck beard using sex mods? Doesn't that trigger you? Well, I should say. Journos, lemme tell you what I mean. Ya got one, two, three, four, five, six million players in a game. Players that make no difference Between an user and a troll, With a capital "T," And that rhymes with "G" and that stands for games!
Samuel Thomas
>mfw I have to split this into 3 posts
And all week long your Vidya City Gamers will be harassin' at, I say those gamers will be harassin'! Always harassin' women mornin', noon, and night! 100% that new vidya Nevermind findin' a new job somewhere Or getting showered or getting dressed for it Nevermind going to that interview Just slouching around playing their vidya games Every Friday Night and those are problems Oh, yes we got lots and lots a' problems I'm not doin' this for myself at all, you see Or the children. I'm doing this all For society, BUT THERE'S SEXISM! Right here in Vidya City. Problems with a capital "P" And that rhymes with "G" and that stands for games! Now, I know you journos are the right kinda "gamer". I'm not joshin' when I say this Do ya know what disgusting, sick shit they talk about While they're postin' on the site Veeky Forums? They're playin' Witcher 3, playin' Hatred They're jerkin' it to jap games like weeaboo creeps And braggin' all about How they hide violent urges by killing women in vidya Then one day, they just stop playin', Start their training on how to shoot a gun MLG players and Adderal addicts And Murder-sims, horrid games Have got into their brains taken hold With their alluring desire to kill in real-life! Mass-sexism! Journos, all video games are the devil's playground!
Journos: Problems, oh we got problems, Right here in Vidya City! With a capital "P" That rhymes with "G" And that stands for Games, That stands for Games. It's surely problematic! Right here in Vidya City, Right here! Gotta figure out a way To keep those neck beards firmly in their place Problems, Problems, Problems, Problems, Problems...
Carter Myers
Harold: Journos of Vidya City! Eat up my bullshit before you look sexist! Watch for the tell-tale sign of misogyny! The moment a gamer plays vidya, Does he use his masculine control to oppress women NPCs? Is he not intimidated looking at strong female protags? Waifu games tucked in his backlog? Does he memorize moves for his fighting games to use in online matches? Are epic maymays being used on the internet? memes like 'fun?" And 'SJW?" Well, if so Journos, Ya got problems, Right here in Vidya city! With a capital "P" And that rhymes with "G" And that stands for Games. It's surely problematic! Right here in Vidya City! Play games like Life is Strange, Broken Age and Gone Home! Oh, how problematic. These are for real sexist, sexist problems. All games with a sexy heroine's an MRA's tool! Oh yes we got problems, problems, problems! With a "P"! Gotta rhyme it with "G"! And that stands for Games!!!

Nice.
What's the original song? t. retard

No instrumental though. At least when I checked for my own trouble parody
Amazingly horrible "music." Most songs are repetitive to the point of wanting to smash the radio of the person playing the song. Then, there's the really fast talking and idiotic lyrics, the auto-tuned voice, the horrendous "beats," and the (usual) egotistical rapper. I would rather listen to Andre Boucelli on a ten hour loop than hear Drake rap about Tuesday. Seriously, the music industry sucks major ones, no one on the radio has talent anymore (including pop-stars and new country-stars). The only talent these "singers" have is somehow brainwashing people into buying their new crap albums that suck. I wish people would actually start to listen to real music, like rock in general and 80s/90s country. Rap can't be called music, it's just plain garbage.
We can move the budget of the musical this year to $1.29
Levi Foster
Actual instrumental here

>Actually spending money for the musical. I can respect that. I bought a song in V3 last year. Tell ya what, if the song approaches never ever status, I'll get it done myself. I'm more deep than high though, which is why I'm hesitant, but consider this a promise.
it's time to write the lyrics It's time to sing the songs it's time to meet the retards on the /v/ the musical tonight.
It's time to post the thread It's time to pitch it right It's time to raise the curtain on /v/ the musical tonight.
Why do we always post here I guess we'll never know It's like a kind of torture To have to hear these songs
And now let's get things started Why don't you finish your song It's time to get things started On the most expositional expansional autistional This is what we call /v/ the musical!
The lyrics need some working and i don't know what the trumpet should be but i want to throw this out there to give some ideas.
