I'm having a MAJOR trouble with gil management. Throughout the entire game I've only amassed like 40k gil, but the monsters at the end are pretty much immune to all but the most expensive gear. A P-Sword is like over 100k gil, it's insane.

Replaying vii now for the first time in probably over a decade and realizing that this was actually a somewhat racey and dark game. I'll be pretty surprised if the remake doesn't get really toned down and given a sort of PG13 treatment. The fact that they couldn't even rerelease the original game on ps4 without censoring the expletives just makes it seem even more likely.

Not that I need the game to be edgy or anything, but I'll just be really surprised if they're actually faithful to a lot of this stuff in the original.

Heavensward is getting better, though it still have very disappointing aspects every new update (GC's not-retainers instead of not-trust magic like they promised before, people being able to have both a house and an apartment, etc).
OST still is pretty much the best thing about the whole game.

I haven't even really been following this closely at all, if people are saying that it's probably just because it's obvious that the series isn't like that anymore. So far? I already feel weird about how abilities and such are handled in IX. Game aesthetics look real different. Battles take fucking forever to start with all that camera bullshit in the intro.
Other than that it's pretty neat. Vivi is definitely top tier in my book.

I reckon it's more of sunk cost fallacy than anything else. You've invested so much time/resources on the game that you're loathe to simply give it up on a whim.
It applies to all games in general, not only mobages, and people with an obsessive streak are more susceptible.
Problem is that mobile games are so fucking accessible nowdays that many people, including me, have fallen prey to it's clutches.

You, alphboy, dragoon bro and ice bitch decides to shit on Ishgard's silly religion together and go on an ADVENTURE to meet the big non-villain dragon that have a fetish for elf ladies and vore and maybe find a way to stop the big villain dragon vs elf war.
HW's story is pretty great, they fixed the terrible pacing and convoluted plot lines from ARR and added some minor things to make some boring parts a bit better (like adding "random" battles when you need to move from point A to B, so it kinda feels like a classic JRPG).

Story would've had a lot more impact on me if the scions and pink potato stayed dead
Other than that, yeah, HW story is pretty great.
Less unrelated fetch quests more lore and story.
That isn't to say that some of the side quests weren't bad though. I really liked those quests in the chocobo forest. Fuck those moogle sidequests though.
