for commuting or aggressive street riding or what? for commuting, textile is fine and more flexible and breathable. but if your'e hitting corners leather that could zip to your jacket would be much better.

not sure if its compatible, just an example, but you can get some r1 forks for a few hundred and a rear shock for about a hundred or less. i think with the suspension tuned it's a better bike. more hp, more torque, barely heavier (13 lbs).

pic related is the street triple r, which it still out performs. i know it's an 850 vs 675 but i think its the better bike.
